Re: OTY retires
Legend is an overused term today, but Tom Youngs deserves that accolade and more. For those who witnessed his journey from Centre to International class Hooker in seemingly the blink of an eye you will concede that the man was simply nothing short of a force of nature carrying himself and those aro...

Re: OTY retires
Tigers, England and Lions. And, most importantly prepared to put family first. I think we all expected that he wasn’t going to return at the age of 35 in the circumstances. Thank you and well played. I suspect this Saturday’s game against Bristol would have had him truly fired up. Wasn’t his dad on...

Re: OTY retires
I don't post on here these days but this is exceptional. An extraordinary servant of the Club who's career achievements cannot be overstated. To have switched from Centre to Hooker at North Walsham would be impressive but 3 Test caps for the British & Irish Lions - a quite staggering feat of det...

Re: Tom Youngs Charged
I can find no news of the outcome of yesterday's planned disciplinary panel. Perhaps it didn't happen or the decision is not to be made public.

Re: Captain for 2021/22 Season
Interesting debate which also featured in the BT Rugby Tonight feature with Eddie Jones yesterday evening. Dallaglio expressed the view that too few candidates for the national captaincy lead their club sides; Jones, dodging the question somewhat, felt things have moved on and that today's captains ...

Re: BRISTOL (H) - 5th June 2021 (NO CITINGS)
Unfortunately this is where the "system" lacks all credibility and I have every sympathy with the players. The Club Captain's alleged misdemeanour is all over the media and the disciplinary proceedings will be played out in the public domain. On the other hand, the touchline chaos resultin...

Re: BRISTOL (H) - 5th June 2021
I think the part that will concern the officiating review panel the most is that Bears manifestly gained an advantage from a yellow card - one which was too late being shown after multiple "final" warnings - part of that undue advantage was the time taken to deal with the secondary effects...

Re: Who’s your pick for Lions 2021
Obviously much can change before the plane out and during the tour itself, but when was the last Lions Squad initial selection without a single Tiger?

Re: Tigers and new partner "yodel"
I have to say that any company using yodel, has got to be desperate or very stupid. Personally, if I see a company who I want something from used yodel, I go elsewhere. Not once have they delivered what I ordered to my house, on time and in one piece. So, its a no from me to getting anything from t...

Re: Team for Exeter
Why? We have 4 games in 2 weeks. Exeter Away Bath Home Irish Home Gloucester Away It's pretty obvious why some players might not have been picked despite being fit. This period is going to require a lot of man managing. I don't think the strategy is pretty obvious at all. If you are not going to pi...

Re: Team for Exeter
Interesting point on (BT Sport) commentary that "the fans deserve to know why Tigers headline signing was not picked despite being fit and available".

Re: Penalties for COVID Breaches
The alternatives to not following the advice would be that the matches would not be allowed to go ahead. Whilst there are some parts of the community that disregard it because of what others have done , my attitude is that CovID is still out there and I should be responsible and be better than them...

Re: How times have changed..
I personally believe it should be easier for clubs, coaches and captains to address their concerns about the officiating in a proper channel, to prevent events like Murphy getting in trouble for saying it how is. There should in no way whatsoever be abuse of officials but they still need to be effe...

Re: Penalties for COVID Breaches
I don't envy clubs being held responsible for getting this message across and enforcing the rules with players. When you consider the blatant disregard for government and local authority restrictions amongst some elements of the public, you could be forgiven as a professional sportsperson for think...
