Re: Tigers v Wasps

I don't think Leicester show Ben Youngs enough respect. He should be starting, he is the better player. Everybody goes on about player welfare then when you give a guy a bit of a rest it's showing disrespect. You can't win. You can, rest him against Worcester (away and home) and Bristol (away and h...

Re: Lions 2017

I genuinely believe 90% of people want the internationals and Lions tours to stay and would rather have less domestic rugby to allow players to recover. I love the AP but I would rather the league was 10 teams than lose any internationals or Lions tours and I'm in the tiny minority who pays extra to...

Thank god Robson isn't playing for them.

Interesting to hear what is up with Manu

Re: Lions 2017

Still waiting for the link to the USA shirt sales................ There you go - and that took about 10 seconds. http://365.worldrugbyshop.com/top-10-selling-rugby-jerseys-march-2015/ hahahahahahaha That list obviously just includes countries and not the Lions and its just sales off that website/st...

Re: Lions 2017

Where is the link? I would be very impressed if USA Rugby sold more shirts than Lions, fair play to them if they have. So last year, roughly 28,000 people attended Varsity Match rugby vs welford road capacity of 25kish? Varsity match football attracted about 3-4k vs Old Trafford of about 80k. We ca...

"The Lions' jersey is the best-selling shirt in world rugby and the tourists have become such a significant commercial brand that the huge profits from this tour will sustain the ARU for years." https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2013/jul/06/lions-cash-2017-new-zealand A family friend who w...

Re: Lions 2017

The Lions shirt is the most bought sporting shirt in the world, it sells more than the Real Madrid shirt. Something of that commercial importance and scale is here to stay. Also its :censored: fun and entertaining to watch. Club rugby will be the thing that gets trimmed down, 90% of the rugby publi...

Re: Emasculated Manu

What I found astounding is that people think its easier to defend at 13 than 12 :smt046 13 is the hardest position to defend on the pitch, executing the drift is difficult while still making sure you hit runners coming back against the drift. Manu has been awful at 13 defensively many times, watch C...

Re: Teams up v Gloucester

"People are scared of him" What planet are you on? Its the Premiership. Are you setting him up to be a target? It doesn't matter if its the Premiership or not. Just as Saints backs used to dread having Bruce Reihana in contact training (ref Ashton's book and many forum posts), Moody dread...

Re: Teams up v Gloucester

Ayerza is past it in terms of his peak, time for Genge to start and for Ayerza to give 20 mins off bench. Your unfounded bias is showing through again. Ayerza played really well and ran himself into the ground. Interestingly he made the Aviva Premiership team of the week not Genge. So so wrong. Gen...

Ayerza is past it in terms of his peak, time for Genge to start and for Ayerza to give 20 mins off bench. Kitchener works better with Barrow is the lineout master. Evans has more upside than Hamilton, Hamilton is an average squad player. Manu at 12 and Betham at 13, playing two players out of positi...

Re: Is this year pivotal for Cockers?

Is this year pivotal for Baxter. If the Chiefs fail to win the PREM or ERC will he have taken them as far as he can? Is this year pivotal for Dai Young. Wasps now have the team, the ground and the infrastructure in place. Success is a must surely? Is this year pivotal for Mallinder. The fans are re...
