Re: Sarries being investigated

This calls into question the ethics of the players as well - sadly. Unless they claim that Saracens told them that this was being reported to PRL, when it wasn’t. May be each player should sign off on the payments / benefits they receive from the club as part of each clubs submission to PRL - rathe...

Re: Tigers vs Saracens

I understand, from a referee friend of mine, that the guidance around awarding a penalty try states that if the offence takes place more than 20 meters out a penalty try should not normally be awarded. I think it might be significant that the T.M.O made a point of telling the ref that the offence to...

Re: Tiffany Youngs in Remission!!

Not much of a celebratory feeling today, I'll have one eye on the big wedding, but I'm not much of royalist. I'll have a passing interest in the semi final's and will probably record it for fast forward viewing later. So all in all not a day to get too excited about.................. But Tiffany You...

Tear in my eye and a lump in my throat. Wonderfully gifted player and a lovely bloke when you met him off the pitch.
Good luck Tom, enjoy your retirement. :smt041

Re: Tigers v Chiefs

Thought Chiefs players spent a lot of time offside at the breakdown yesterday and then, when spotted, throwing their arms up in the air and taking a step back. Might explain the line speed of their defence.

Re: Marcos retires

Right up there with the very best for me Johno, Deano and Marco. Unrivalled work rate, uncompromising at the scrum, tigers to his very soul. All the very best to you and your family in what ever the future holds :smt054

Re: Starting 15 for the Gloucester Game?

In my humble opinion Kitto is not good enough to be a first XV scrum half. His service is turgid, he converts any quick ruck ball into slow ball. His box kicking is telegraphed, painful to watch and takes an age to accomplish which seldom results in a positive outcome. His limited running game usua...

Re: Where is Logo?

Saw Logo with his family in a restaurant in Hinckley a week last Friday he was on the next table to us. He was on crutches looked like he'd had keyhole on his knee, I think it was the left one, but I'd had a few Peronies by the time he left..hic :smt002

Didn't get anywhere near him, Baz did him for speed on the outside, one of the great moments in the traditional boxing day fixture.

Re: Saracens v Quins at Wembley

Amount of tickets given away to make it look like Saracens have a large fan base, clearly a significant number didn't show up. How much did it cost?

Re: Marcus Ayerza

Couldn't agree more Iain, great player not just in the scrummaging sense either always has a high tackle rate. We're a much poorer team when he doesn't play.

Croft & Easter have both played lock and have a great all round game, but agree Croft's a bit short of match pace.

Re: Englands new kit

My new all black England shirt arrived in the post today looks good close up. Happy to wear anything that messes with the Kiwis mindset, after all they’ve been disrespecting our national team for years with their alternative white shirts!! An observation clearly missed by Mr Lomu, Great player, but ...

Re: Leicester v Sale Latest

Whilst Manu got MOTT the platform as always was built by the forwards, I thought the front row was awsome and demonstrated that it's not all about scrumageing. Ayerza & Castro cleared the ball out all afternoon and when they and Deacon went off there was a distinct drop in performance. Ayerza in...
