Whereas we definitely have the ability to run it from our own half and Saints definitely don't have any jackle threats like Lawes, Langdon, Pearson or Ludlam available to them.
Simple solution... 50:22 then :smt023

Re: Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05

If we play like we did against Leinster with the addition of the above three, then I think we have a very good chance to sneak a win, especially if we slow down the game, keep the ball in the forwards, and do not kick it to their backs with space. Our defence in the midfield has certainly to be bett...

Plays with a straight bat.
Certainly if anything overcompensates.
Unfortunately this is also my thinking on his refereeing of Tigers' games. I am often very confused with his decisions.

Re: Champions' Cup Quarter finals 2024

As Robespierre said, SA teams should not be in the European cup so it's probably good Saints won. Although, I think the same about Saints!! :smt040 :smt040 :smt040 We did better than the European champs against Leinster, even without an attack coach, Martin, and Chessum. That needs to be recognised....

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Written by Fissler though... If it were to happen, then Marchant would not be a bad replacement... To me it seems like Marchant and Perese are similar players, both 13s? With only 3 senior centres in the squad, it would be irresponsible to let Kelly go, even for a fee. Porter is also a 13, so March...

Re: Championship Clubs Promotion

Being slightly pedantic, there are minimum requirements around ground size that have that have to be met. There are none on crowd sizes. Obviously though, low crowds = low income = going bust. Being even more pedantic, ground size is not that relevant either (it could be 20 acres!), it is more abou...

Re: Championship Clubs Promotion

Just had a thought one of the problems with promotion for Champinship Clubs is ground size, not supporter size. Is it? What evidence is there for that? Being slightly pedantic, there are minimum requirements around ground size that have that have to be met. There are none on crowd sizes. Obviously ...

Re: Leinster mind games begin? - Champions Cup (A) - Saturday 06th April 2024 - KO:8:00pm

I certainly don't believe Steward misses pace, just accelaration. He is a huge guy with long legs in the Croft mould. If it is a pure leg race, he will do quite well. The problem is only if there is a small agile scrum half / winger with space, they will have the upper hand. If you have an agile ful...

Re: Leinster mind games begin? - Champions Cup (A) - Saturday 06th April 2024 - KO:8:00pm

I entirely agree with Rugbygramps, his description of the role of rugby fullback is accurate and Steward is ideally suited to.it. He will.I am sure do a job if selected on the wing but there are many better wingers, Freddie is like Tim Stimpson a great fullback but less great elsewhere in the team....

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45

I agree with most of the criticism of the team, however, it's worth acknowledging... In all my years watching rugby I can't ever recall a team holding out when 15 vs. 12. But we did! Miraculous! And for young Finn to come up with the ball at the end was a wonderful moment. Recently I have tried to ...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45

Thought it was illegal. Falcons are letting tigers go through the middle and then flooding in offside. As much as I think Dickson is now normally a good sir, I think he is being swayed by the home fans too much today. We are certainly, for the third week in a row to bottom of the table teams the 2n...
