Re: Ideas for revenue generation at Tigers

Simple!! Change structure from a PLC with a small number of shareholders to a fan owned rugby club. Get 20000 fans to pay £3000 each. This would guarantee a seat for next 10 years insted of a season ticket. Would raise £60mio for the club. Fans (shareholders) would have voting rights, input into th...

Re: World calancer seems closer

If the SAANZAR nations want to align a global calendar so badly let them align with us! Less glibly I wholeheartedly agree with what seems to be the popular view on here, Union has always been a autumn to spring sport and the diversity of conditions this entails is part of the game. If we get rid o...

Re: NZ Only Super Rugby in the works

Yes, it will be easier to contain a pandemic in a less densely populated country, but Japan is also an island, is more densely populated than the UK, is far closer to the geographical origin of the virus, and yet has far fewer cases of the virus (16,000) than the UK (223,000) to date. New Zealand al...

Re: Is Worcester match on any TV stream ?

It's on Kayo here in Australia, but that's not much use to you in the UK unless you have a VPN that you can set to Down Under (in which case you may be able to register for the 14 day free trial)!

Re: England v Ireland travel

I haven't parked at Twickenham for an England game so this info may be a little out of date but... 1. Most of the on-street parking near to the stadium is permit-holders only. Unless you know where the residents parking ends, don't even think of attempting on-street parking! 2. Parking on the kerb i...

Re: Who’s going to replace Cheika?

Dave Wessels would be a good choice but i think he will be the Wallabies manager after Cheika's replacement.

It is a role that RA are certainly lining him for in due course, but i don't think he is quite there yet.

Re: Rule Changes After World Cup?

I beg to differ, the 50/22 would encourage much more kicking from the FB and the FH playing deep. Leave it in Rugby League! I've seen it in practice in rugby union this year and it was barely attempted. When it was, it wasn't always successful. Bringing in the 50-22 law ans getting rid of kicking ou...

Re: Rule Changes After World Cup?

If these come into play full-time I'm walking away! 50-22???? Not tackling above the waist? Yeah coz that's gonna cut down concussion!!! Awful ideas! Actually, the 50-22 rule can actually work well. The Western Force have been trialing it in their 'Global Rapid Rugby' competition this year, along w...
