Re: New kit 21/22

Think the home kit is OK. Very much designed around the standard stripes but obviously a bit different to previous designs without going left-field.

Re: Lions 2021

Can see it for an injury yes,but that’s it for me. I'm not so sure. When Finn Russell was picked, a player who isn't in the typical Gatland mould, you could have argued that it was down to how well he played in the 6N. However, now that Russell is injured, he's gone for a like-for-like replacement,...

Re: Lions 2021

I still don’t think he benches mate, who is he gonna leave out in your opinion,Farrell? Given the way that Biggar and the Boks play, I would be surprised if he doesn't get injured at some point and misses a test. Then Smith is possibly on the bench. Can see it for an injury yes,but that’s it for me....

Let’s give them all a chance before we judge them
Where's the fun in that :smt005
You can't stop people having opinions, goes against what the forum is for, as we are frequently told :smt002

Re: Lions 2021

If South Africa don’t go for the 6-2 they usually have the playmaker Elton Jantijies on the bench. In my opinion, Gatland’s selection of Russell in the first place was to counter that. Gatland has also stated that Smith was chosen as the most "like for like" replacement they have. They have the pla...

Re: England v Canada - 10th July 2021

Did England execute better or were Canada not as good as the USA? Both, with the latter contributing to the former. As an example, USA frequently challenged Freddy Steward under the high ball, putting him off on occasion and restricting his ability to attack. Canada hardly ever did, giving him a mu...

Re: Lions 2021

How will it keep the Boks guessing. As soon as the side is named they will know how the Lions will play. I would be very surprised if Biggar doesn’t start at 10 So are the Boks not going to do any training, planning etc around how the Lions might play until the side is named. Yes, the vast majority...

Re: England v Canada - 10th July 2021

England executed far better that a week earlier. Great for Harry Wells to claim full international recognition.. Did England execute better or were Canada not as good as the USA? Re: England v Canada - 10th July 2021

Eddie will probably have learnt more from the training sessions than from these games against weak teams - who can adapt quickly to a different coaching set up, a different style of play, with less familiar team mates and still perform like they do at club level or better. What I think that he will ...

Re: Lions 2021

surprised they went Smith over Sexton If you had Biggar, Sexton and Farrell as your options at 10, you'll have a plan A, take the Boks on at their own game, but that's all. Smith is in a similar mould to Russell and is a like-for-like swap. They both bring a different playing style, which will keep...

Re: England vs USA - 4th July 2021

:smt005 can't even get your acronyms right. I can just about accept MF can be midfield (as well as Mike Ford) even though its one word, but to use HP for Halfpenny is bordering on insulting IMHO. What about L1/2P? 🤪 L½P would be better The sole redeeming factor in favour of either of these is that ...

Re: England vs USA - 4th July 2021

Waste of time having one,be better off having Neil Jenkins sneaking up behind players and following them around while they are constantly kicking 😂 Always creeps me out when he's hanging around behind LHP while he's about to kick LHP 🤔🤔🤔 Left Hand Post? Loose Head Prop? Leigh Halfpenny,he's like a ...
