Just the type of player we needed.
What player with a long term injury?
Based on many of the comments on here, isn't every player that we sign long term injured, a journeyman or both :smt002 :smt003

Re: Mark Wilson

It is increasingly likely that no club will go down this season. The RFU and Nigel Melville will need to do a complete U-turn for it to happen this season. Irish wouldn't be too happy either :smt002. Them and Ealing have already said they would look to mount a legal challenge. Next season, though...

Re: Use it from Nigel Owens

At the risk of introducing seriousness to the thread, I thought the 'use it' time limit only applies to rucks. So what happens if the ball isn't used from the scrum when Sir shouts? I think that partly it's a way of saying "I'm not giving a penalty or free kick, so get on with it". Don't know the l...

Sorry to sound harsh but it's all a lot of talking really without saying anything!
Perfect for putting on here then. All we do is talk without saying much :smt002 :smt003

They turn the "training barn" next to the ground into a huge bar (room for hundreds!) with assorted areas for kids activities at the other end. Lots of standing room and a fair few tables. A bit soulless (which you would expect in a barn) but very noisy and more than adequate. A fair few food outle...

Re: Only 4 points away from 3rd.

Sorry to spoil things. Looked at the Aviva Premiership site and Thikipedia and both have us with 63 pts total (and 11 BP). As there are 4 pts for a win and 2 for a draw, the only way you can have an odd points total is to have an odd number of BPs, so definitely not 10 whichever way you look at it....

Re: Only 4 points away from 3rd.

I always thought our inability to secure bonus points last season was a material part of not making the top 4. We seemed to win small and lose big compared to other teams. So it is interesting to note that, at the halfway stage and despite our concerns this season, we are already only one point beh...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 4

Diamond quoted by Sky... "Diamond said he is preparing to announce a string of contract extensions and the signings of five new internationals to take the club up to the cap and - he hopes - into the top four. Those internationals will not include the Du Preez brothers, who only joined on short-ter...

Genge is 100% off to worcester as can be confirmed by his entirely serious twitter posts. In the last 10 minutes, he's tweeted symbols for a contract and a pen followed by those for Warriors, Wasps and Bath! :smt044 Is he going to play for one on Fridays, another on Saturdays and the other on Sunda...

35 years as a rugby professional and he's never won anything far as I can tell. We can do better.
We could do, and have done, a lot worse.

Don’t forget Fissler reported that Toomua had signed for Wasps, not Tigers, so is hardly a reliable source!
On a similar note, the BBC commentator on the Eng v Aus highlights described Toomua as a Melbourne Rebels player.

I wish had been a tiger for longer.
Me too, but it was not to be. I thank him for his efforts in the Tigers shirt and wish him and his family all the very best for the future.

Toot toot.
