Re: Wade makes an impact on 1st game

Wade didn't make the final cut at Bills, unfortunately.

Re: Wales 1st in the World?

Thoroughly frustrating - particularly in the 2nd half. Whilst I can see the merits of AW Jones as a player, he seems overly 'Whiney' as a captain always moaning to the ref. In contrast to Ford. Also, can't believe TMO didn't call the head tackle half way through 2nd half (can't remember the player n...

Re: Leicester Tigers up for sale for £60 Million

On a similar theme - if reports are true of Gareth Bale being paid £1M per week in China, he could have bought the club in a year and two months (excluding taxes and costs).

Re: I’m slightly worried Tigers are going to be undercooked...

I too am worried about preparations generally. I guess this might stem from the dreadful season we just experienced and the desperation not to go through that again. It feels like the new signings are bringing new hope and it would be awful if that hope was unfounded due to poor preparations or unfo...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2018-19

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/49006456 Harry Thacker one of 7 players to sign extensions with Bristol. 3 years in Harry's case. I still hope to see him back at Tigers one day. Of all the players we have let go, he is one of 3 or 4 that rankle with me over the last decade or so. A supremel...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 1

As someone previously pointed out (Scott??) - the two little yet important words 'for now' suggests more to follow at some point. I'm interested to know how long the gap will likely be between the likes of Lavinini being available for selection for us and when he might play for the first 15. In othe...

Re: bet on tigers.

As I said, it wasn't just running the clock down that annoyed me, it was the way Hardie was gloating. Been watching cricket most of today and the way Kane Williamson and his team behaved was exactly the way sport should (ideally) be played. Ferociously competitive, but fair and honorable. Unlike Har...

Re: bet on tigers.

And we start off away to lucky Worcester. I’m growing to hate the luck they seem to get. Me too - and I rarely 'hate' other clubs. I just remember at home last season what Hardie's face looked like as he deliberately wasted time with that last kick at the end of the game. I know others may be guilt...

Re: Leicester Tigers up for sale for £60 Million

Depends how many the coach picked. If I was coach of that mythical team based on last season's teams, possibly only 3 - Manu, May and Ford.

Also Boris will be up close to the RWC and may be doing some scouting for us?

Re: Who would you like first Game ?

October seems like a long time to wait though. Is it later than usual? I guess it is a sign that I am looking forward to the new season on the back of the new signings. Yes because of the World Cup the season has been moved around. Premiership Cup will be played through September and European fixtu...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

Youngs is a class player - you know what they say about class being permanent and form being temporary. Assuming a fully fit and healthy pack, I'd expect him to show his class again next season.
