Hope they don’t ask Jonny to take a further 25% pay cut!
Perhaps he can't complain if they've wired his jaw shut!

Re: Off the market!

I don't know if it is good news or not. I guess the idea outcome would to have found a buyer who shared the same vision etc. If it was £60M, divide by 18,000 (figure plucked from the air based on an approx ave attendance), then that is £3,333 each. Me and the wife will put in £3,333 each - just 17,...

This is even more depressing than the usual Tigers-related content on this forum!

Re: What are we going to talk about for the next two months?

The list is endless. It was Brexit, now Corona Virus, pandemic and the end of civilisation as we know it. I bet there isn't a topic everyone will agree on, there is bound to be some contrarian who argues black is blue.

What about 'Trump is an idiot'?

So he should be back for Gloucester then, Covid 19 permitting?

Re: 4 weeks for Manu 10 for Marler

If he was banned for 4 weeks, the decision made on Thursday 12th March, then my calendar suggests the 4 weeks are up on 9th April - not 14th. It matters because of the London Irish game.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

Interesting reading/listening relating the recruitment from Jan McGinity on the BBC Radio Leicester podcast and twitter feed. I guess not a lot new, but interesting perspective on recruiting England Internationals.

As I said previously, I hope he can throw accurately as well as scrummage!

In the meantime, last week's round of 6 Nations matches has made a real mess of our season :smt013

The picture of him on that link reminds me of Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars. About as charitable too.

Re: England v Wales

I did feel sorry for Manu, but I think if it had happened to one of our players I would be calling for a red, so I can't get too outraged. As others have said, I sincerely hope the punishment fits the 'crime' rather than just trot out the same ban. The annoying thing for me is the lack of consistenc...

Re: England v Wales

Sadly harshness or indeed any notion of fairness is seldom at the centre of any disciplinary hearing decision making and so I fear a long ban but desperately hope I am badly wrong. We need Manu back not keeping OTY company on the sidelines. I share your fear. Disciplinary panels seem to see themsel...

Gareth Thomas' quip just before the restart was brilliant
Yes - good on Gareth Thomas too. A bit of self-deprecating humour always welcome!

Re: England v Wales

There was no malice in Manu's hit, but he's lucky George saw him coming and got his head out of the way. Otherwise, coming at full-tilt as he was and shoulder-down as the impact point, he could've broken George's neck. Slade had got the tackle, anyway. There was no offload-able support. Manu was be...
