Re: Tigers v Sale (H) - Saturday 08th October 2022 - 3-00pm

The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result. So, we continued to kick away possession to a team that wanted to and were successful in running the ball back at us.

Re: Arthur Hazlerigg

Played with him in the 70s for Stoneygate 3rds. From then on our rugby careers went in opposite directions. I think he maximised his talent to good effect. RIP.

I hold no brief for Bristol or Sale but do like to see justice done. We had a forward pass try v London Irish. It's unfair whoever benefits by it. But when it is as blatant as the Sarries winning try v Sale it becomes inexcusable.

Refs and Sarries

After last week's appalling refereeing display in the Bristol v Saracens match, where Saracens inexplicably got away with several potential yellow cards, we see yet again another set of officials who robbed Sale of a win. Firstly the double tackle on de Klerk was late and reckless - no card - and th...

Amazon Smile

I'm sure many of you buy stuff through Amazon. In case you had missed it, if you buy through Amazon Smile (same procedure, same firm - no charge) then you can nominate a registered charity and Amazon make a small contribution to that charity. I nominated the Matt Hampson Foundation. Last quarter Ama...

Re: All Time Premiership Table

Surely some others remember Bob Kimmins the Orrel lock, who was one of the least athletic locks you will ever see, but was a rough old cove.

Re: Romain Poite

I have always liked M Poite. He did not mess about at scrum time and was quite prepared to penalise any side quickly, which gives us all a quicker game. In general french referees seem to keep the game moving as opposed to some of the english stop start merchants.

Re: Bath - Home - 05th November 2021

I thought the Bath game plan was to slow the game down as much as possible. Glacially slow to line-outs and scrums. That prevented us getting any momentum as it was stop start all along. Hence a scrappy match but a good win.

Not seen Harry Wells in last two pre-season games. Could he be carrying a knock?

Kevin Sinfield

Does anyone know when Kevin Sinfield will be arriving full-time? Looks like pre season drills and game plan are being implemented without his imput, which suggests he will largely have a skills imput initially, as he gets up to speed.
