Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope
When you compare any of the current first choice locks' carry and tackle rate with Kitchener's over the past two years, there has been a massive improvement.

Re: About time too - Matt Hampson
Congratulations to Matt Hampson on his public recognition. If anyone can be said to be an inspiration to others, it must be Matt. Here's wishing the great man a happy new year.

Re: Tigers v Chiefs
The scrum half wasn't the only one. Exeter clear out players who are off the ball at a lot of rucks and are wildly off their feet. The ref seemed to ignore it, consequently a player badly injured. Refs have to get a grip of players who smash into static prone players beecause it is career, even life...

Re: Tigers v Chiefs
Tigers were dogged and brave for 50 minutes, but if you have played the game, you know you can not defend for a whole match and hope for a few scoring opportunities. We must start to see some consistent possession in the oppos half. Kick chase largely makes you the defending team again. We need some...

When Steve Borthwick says the players have been working hard at home during lockdown, what does he mean? Is it physical fitness, practicing skills, learning the play book for line-out calls etc, studying personal videos, studying videos of Gloucester's game plan. Just how much can be done in isolati...

Re: George Ford
I had a chronic achilles problem a few years back and saw an NHS consultant who works with Loughborough University. He has pioneered an operation where your achilles tendon is injected with about 50cc of a simple saline solution. The nurse trying to pump all the 50ccs into my ankle had more pain tha...

Offside at a kick off
I am continually annoyed by seemingly all referees who allow several players to run offside at a restart. Almost invariably the player making the tackle is the one most offside. It kills counter attacking. Hopefully it will be policed next season - written more in hope than expectation!

Re: LTTV next week - Club Doctor - Any questions?
What is the procedure, when a player comes off for a head injury assessment and what are the criteria for deciding whether he returns to the match or not?

David Dickie Bird
Just heard that golfing pal and former Tigers' winger Dickie Bird (played 60/70s) has died. He was a lot of fun and will be missed.

The reason there has been less noise this year is because of what has been going on on the pitch. When Tigers show their hallmark passion and make the first up tackles and don't make amateurish knock-ons, then the crowd get right behind them. But it's difficult to raise a roar, when you've got your ...

I posted a protest about England playing Moody whilst injured a few weeks ago. If you have a strained achilles and you play on at the intensity needed at international level, then a tear and months of rehab are very likely. So it turns out with Lewis!! What price seeing Geordan again this season? An...
