Re: Jordan Taufua signs for Lyon OU with immediate effect
I’m extremely late to the party here, but can I just add that if we were to bring in Marco Van Staden as JTs replacement, at a significantly reduced cost, then that would be an ABSOLUTELY TREMENDOUS piece of business. MVS is probably the form backrower in SA at the min. And that’s saying something....

Re: Jordan Taufua signs for Lyon OU with immediate effect
Fantastic player and never put in a bad performance or lacked effort. Like someone has already said we probably didn't see the best of him owing to injuries but sometimes players just never get that consistent run.
Lovely bloke and good luck in France!

Re: Freddie Burns coming back to Tigers?
Lets be realistic here... If Ford goes that would free up a hell of a lot of cap, question is where would he go in the Prem (he wouldn't move abroad as that would put him out of the England frame), Also who would he go to in the Top 4 that would see him challenging Bristol: Got Sheedy who has broken...

So swop private house on golf course for bags of used notes taken on a match day and you’ve got the tigers model...
Whether this is going on now I don’t know but it certainly was around five years ago so be careful where you cast your stones.

Re: Tigers v Bayonne - European games suspended
This please... London Irish v Glasgow, Ospreys v Harlequins, Cardiff v Dragons, Leicester v Montpellier, Zebre v Bath, Agen v Northampton, Benetton v Connacht and Newcastle v Ulster Just go straight knock out, much more appealing. In hindsight that would have made for a more interesting tournament f...

Re: Tigers v Bayonne - European games suspended
Be great to see a couple of 'A' team games put in against other Premiership clubs which could be streamed through club websites much like the Saracens game a few weeks back.

Re: Tigers v Bayonne - European games suspended
Prem rugby have confirmed there will be a two week break to allow players a ‘test’.
They haven’t got the balls or brains to do anything creative and all they’re doing is piling the fixture list up come May/ June.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope
TRP reports that Bonilla had impressed so much we are looking to extent his contract which will mean Zach Henry is off. Hmm.... Thought it sounded like a load of tosh when I read it. Henry’s got a lot of promise, seen nothing of Bonilla yet so seems like a story manufactured to fill some space. Als...

Re: Tigers v Bayonne
Surprised that it hasnt been officially pulled already.
Would make sense to pull some rounds forward as Pat Lamb suggested at the weekend or simply carry on the tournament without the French clubs.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope
I would guess at around £1M between the 3 of them My guess is £550,000 - Manu £300,000 - May £250,000 - Veainu Replacements maybe £230,000 - Moroni £200,000 - Nadolo £150,000 - Murimurivalu Practically half the price, if you're right! I suppose it helps hugely when a group of young players break th...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope
Back 3, we're fine unless we lose players but with Steward, Nadolo, Van Wyk, Murimurivalu, Porter, Potter, Williams, Simmons, Aspland Robinson, Worth & Olowafela we don't need more atm. It's amazing that not very long ago Worth and Olowofela were 2nd choice in their positions. Our strength in the b...

I actually meant to say, with the way the league looks this year I'll happily take any win even if its a covid one.

Re: Saints v Tigers - 09th January 2021 - cancelled due to COVID
Saracens might fancy a game? Sure Ealing wouldn't mind a rumble as well. Lets be fair who has the money to compete next season.. Saracens and Ealing. Expand the league to 14 and give the clubs in the championship 4 seasons to build a model ready to apply for expansion. It works in a number of leagu...
