Cockers' linguistic skills

I recall seeing and hearing an interview shortly after Cockers arrived in Toulon to assist Mike Ford. The interviewer asked all the questions in French, Mike Ford looked completely baffled, and Cockers gabbled away in fluent French. I wonder how he's getting on in Edinburgh? I doubt he's starting to...

The Falklands would be better, rugby is a winters game and its now Autumn over there, also could we play our AI over there, Argentina would feel at home.
Wasn't it Argentina viewing the Falklands as "home" that kicked off events in 1982?

Maybe he was thinking of converting from back row to front row and was trying to learn about hookers. :smt003
Hasn't Ashley Johnson also swapped back row to hooker at Wasps? - nothing to see here.

Re: Players asked to take pay cuts!

So the players don't agree to the cuts, the clubs will be bankrupt sooner rather than later and be in administration. The players will be in the queue of creditors. Found this order of creidtors to be paid, online: "First in line for the payment are the liquidator and the costs of his services. Then...

Re: Utter Rubbish - Manus Red Card v Wales

There's a spectrum of opinion on this with seemingly the majority of people in two camps at opposite ends. On one end is the "I hate England/Tigers/Manu and he should be banned for life." The journalist who wrote the Irish Independent piece is probably close to this end. At the other end is the "Man...

No sign of Manu's left arm so it certainly wasn't ahead of him preparing to wrap North for a legal tackle.
North's head and neck at a strange angle having just been hit a glancing blow by Manu's right shoulder.

Re: 4 weeks for Manu 10 for Marler

To the people on here who still don't believe a red card was warranted, take a look at the "tackle" in slow motion and if you remove your Tigers-tinted spectacles you might see: 1. North's progress clearly slowed by Slade so North wasn't quite where Manu expected him to be 2. some say Manu's (right)...

If Marler had tightened his grip, it would have been Alan Wince Jones.

Re: Six Nations to go to Sky

Smudge, you may not want the AIs but all the national unions and Sky do want them. Sky's money is filtering down somewhere, even if some or most of it funds the hospitality of the old farts on match days. I believe the horse has bolted and far across the horizon as far as professionalism is concerne...

Re: Six Nations to go to Sky

There have been some fabulous cricket from the SA tour, non better than the T20 final. The vast majority know nothing about it. The BBC didn't include the result in their bulletins. OK SKY money to the game but how many future supporters will it bring? Oil money has ruined wendyball and cricket. We...

Re: Tigers vs Worcester

Ok - apologies for not stating, for the avoidance of doubt, that “changes” meant “changes for the better” etc. Rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic wouldn’t have made a difference but having a different captain might. In football, gifted players seldom make good coaches eg Bobby vs Jack Charlto...

Re: Tigers vs Worcester

As Einstein never said, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Whatever happens today, Tigers will be very fortunate to still be ahead of Wuss after the following two games, away to both Chiefs and Sarries. Expecting to be in the top half, or even top...
