Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

So Jed Walsh/Morgan Meredith for Lancaster should I think be a decent cap saving. Lancaster would only have been in the "academy cap" not the main one, and Jed Walsh similarly. Meredith will not be in the cap at all (unless we are really paying teenagers over £50k straight out of school!)

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) 21st May 2022 KO 15:00

I would like to see a history of our results up there. My not inconsiderable gut tells me that other than the 2 dreadful seasons we have always done pretty well up racking up some decent scores. My memory does play tricks though. From 2001 to 2009 we had a dreadful record there, P8 W1 D1 L6. Since ...

Re: PRC Semi final vs London Irish (A) - 26th April 2022

Another question sorry being really demanding today. Did anyone ever find out if Woodward is related in some way to The Woodward Pretty sure that's a no, think it was asked before Short of an interview with him to the contrary it is a 100% no really. He is from Lichfield & Woodward is a pretty ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 1901 - Black and White

As an aside, I am not sure about the description of this game. It looks like Tigers and could be Welford Rd., but suspiciously, Leicester City also drew 3-3 on that exact date (see https://www.foxestalk.co.uk/history/browse/?season=1901). Anyone with access to historic Tigers club records? Descript...

https://www.buzzsprout.com/1544122/10343214 Interesting @41 minutes that Stu says that his son might be going out to play in brisbane, sounds more like a loan though Does he only have one? Hospital Cup/Shute Shield is a good standard though, especially with the 3 adult grades & 2 Colts grades s...

I wonder when the last match was when Tigers did not score or even attempt a penalty goal?
Someone will know or dig it out. Maybe a bit previous, but assuming the stars align, that Leinster game is going to be epic.
Newcastle Prem Cup about a month ago?

Re: Clermont (Away) - Sunday 10th April 2022

Article on Tigers website explains situation relatively satisfactorily. There is a link for Tigers fans to access our reservation and buy direct from Clermont. https://www.leicestertigers.com/news/update-how-to-book-for-clermont-away Being a cynic I would have preferred the link be emailed on reques...

Re: New Salary Cap Breach?

There was no charge of failing to cooperate because under the old regulations that can only happen if the club fails to cooperate with the investigation. Under the new rules failure to disclose (which Tigers were fined for) can also constitute failure to cooperate and consequently lead to a full di...

Re: New Salary Cap Breach?

It comes down to two questions; A) did he know about it? B) did he know it was wrong? Are we really saying no to both of those questions? For the sake of stability Tom should stay but isn’t that irrelevant? Surely if the chairman has known about this and agreed to it then he should go. At the very ...

Does anyone know if we have to pay the fine immediately or over a period of time ?
I believe the "fines" take the form of reduced distributions from PRL, rather than direct cash from us.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Aled Walters and the Philosopher's Stone

Wasn't one of the main reason's for Gigenga's departure to Irish because he is classed as 'overseas'? If Tigers occasionally juggle with this, I am always bemused by how many of the LI teams are non-epq players, and how many at least appear as if they are from Aus/Argentina/NZ. On another tack - wa...

Re: Cohen sueing Tigers

BBC Radio Leicester reporting this matter has now been settled out of court. No doubt Mr Cohen will be fiscally content. not necessarily - the club seemed happy to have the case heard in court by going right to the day. Normally if a company is worried about losing they would try to settle far earl...

Sounded like all the academy staff rated him though. They say that now he's a Lions player. There was no chat about it at the time. Colour me cynical I guess. I mean watson literally posted a instagram thing from them about 4 years ago from a iphone note written in 2011 of what was said to him at t...

Re: Leicester Tigers Academy 2021/22

I'm confident if he's good enough he will be signed up. I know some people like to complain about who we've let go, but I'm struggling to think of an academy product who we've not offered a senior contract to and has gone on to be a top player at another club, so I have faith in the clubs judgement...
