Re: Can Telusa stay?

People confuse Kolpack signings with free movement. Kolpack players require visas. Nothing about the deal expiring (which it is going to in any case soon, unless the EU roll it over) changes their immigration status. What Kolpack players are about is quotas once in the country. So we have rules that...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2

So looking into it Ford can now be a marquee player along with Manu. Which would in theory mean that Ford I think it was roughly said to be £450,000 would be freed up from the salary. Let's assume that Taufua or Lavanini is this season marquee signing for I don't know around £350,000 (I think that ...

Re: Tigers vs Bristol - 04th January 2020

Both Lewis and Reffell are very good defensively but not the biggest ball carriers. If Spencer is back in the row with Lavanini then having them both in the backrow should be fine. Otherwise we might have to draft in Thom Smith or the loan signing to give us some more ballast ball in hand as Green ...

Re: Catering & Bar Feedback Seasons 2017,2018 & 2019/20

I got refused entry to the Robin Hood plaza area yesterday on the grounds that we didn't sit in that stand!!! Every game this season, me and kids have entered in corner of Breedon / Robin Hood stands then gone into the plaza under the Robin Hood for burgers and drinks. We stand and eat there before...

Re: SIMON COHEN AND TOM SCOTT

Other than his £5.5m loan note conversion (for which he extracted c.£1.2m in interest payments first) he has not "put money" into the club, he has purchased shares from other shareholders. That is a very different thing. The club has also been announced for sale only about 18 months to two years af...

Re: SIMON COHEN AND TOM SCOTT

My maths on Scott: Loan notes issued in 2009, took 6 years of interest at £250k a year. So c.£1.2m of interest there. Converted that into a stake of 15% shares for a cash value of £5.5m. He already owned 29.9% but we don't know what he paid for it. Let's assume that was in line with the loan note va...

Re: CRISIS: WHAT CRISIS?

Anyone remind me why we got rid of Mauger again so quickly? I suspect it was because he introduced a proper warm up session, and the old boys didn’t like it. He also wanted a move away from the traditional 10 man game espoused by Cockerill as other teams worked out the (one and only) game plan. And...

Re: Transfers and Rumours Non-Tigers 2019-20

Is Piutau going or just his wage being counted towards the cap? There are two marquee spots, one for new signings and one for existing players. I would imagine Piutau is moving from the first type to the second with Radradra joining as the new signing. Hughes reportedly signed for £500k a year, don...

Re: Tigers fans walk away

Well it does entirely matter or you aren't comparing eggs with eggs. Typically attendances grow during the season, with spikes at Christmas and Saints usually. So the below could be a fairly reasonable way to get to 21k average 18000 18500 19000 20500 21000 21000 21000 22000 22000 24000 26000 After ...

Leicester Tigers average Premiership attendances: 2018/19 20987 2017/18 22878 2016/17 22899 2015/16 21770 2014/15 22421 2013/14 22843 2012/13 21391 2011/12 20661 2010/11 21016 2009/10 22387 2008/09 17480 2007/08 17206 So it was lower in 11/12 when we finished runners up. It goes up and down but see...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

International player credits are £40k per player named in the EPS (previously publically released, no longer) and £5k per Premiership or European match missed due to EPS deal (so internationals, training camps or compulsory rest periods) up to a limit of £80k per player. For players not named in the...

Re: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Is making a loss of £1.9 million last year not a fair judgement on whether the CEO is doing a good job? :smt013 Well someone must think he is doing a good job, he received a 6% pay rise last year taking his total remuneration to £234k, a 26% increase since he took the job in 2011. For someone very ...
