And then you read the Independent and a few others and it say " Leicester Tigers centre Matt Toomua scored 15 points as he kicked the Wallabies to a morale-boosting victory"
I think it is lazy reporting

Re: Tigers is an ‘old ship’?!
Far too much!
Would say he was just using a turn of phrase - and in fairness we are a little bit knackered. Missed out on playoffs, stuffed at weekend, no coach

Re: Times comment on Ford etc
I think you are probably right. He probably feels elements of pressure to make big carries and big highlight reel tackles, when in actual fact most of us would rather he was just doing his job plainly but 100%

Re: Times comment on Ford etc
He does it quite often, it isn't a one game phenomenon. On his return last year he did the same

Re: Times comment on Ford etc
He can be the exception that proves the rule
In fairness I didn't particularly want him playing - no way was he ready to start. He needs games coming of the bench, or use the A League to bring his fitness up. Certainly not a 12, he already flies out the line like a mad man

Re: Times comment on Ford etc
One of the many tragic parts about the Exeter game is the fact that the squad out there was pretty good! As someone stated previously those backs should fizzle and as someone else pointed out Mauger tried that without the pack. I for one think the players recruited in the row and back row have actua...

Re: Pitches
Full 4G pitches seem to be creating more serious, long term injuries. There is a study in the US looking at the impact on the increase in ACL injuries and to see if there is a correlation. In terms of lesser injuries, the Scarlets players hated the Glasgow pitch and game away with some serious burns...

By far the best ref as stated - looks like it is for family reasons which you can't fault

Re: Financial Health of the Premiership
They are the only club who could really take on that obligation because they do have the ability to pay it back in the long run, just checked on LSE and the redemption is 2022

Re: Financial Health of the Premiership
Be interesting to see what Wasp's position is, once their figures are announced! Is their bond due for repayment next year? I believe first payment is due 2019 Not sure where that came from, the interest will be payable from the year of inception, however repayment of the bond isn't until 2022 and ...

Re: Cortes called up by Argentina
Saints were fined because they let North go outside of the test window. This is a different scenario in that these are sanctioned test windows so any players have to be released by the club. It Oz were to play a game this weekend and Tigers released Toomua then we would be fined. It is all a bit of ...

Re: Tigers in turmoil article
Should never go back, he has been successful. Find some of the postings on RC a bit odd - yes things went bad for him at Tigers, but he can't be the only contributor to that? Lets not forget, it has hardly got better since he left and yet - he did positive things with Toulon - granted though with th...

Re: Toomua's Replacement
You are right, the insinuation of their comments is that he tried to cheat the club for money as he knew he would want to leave - which strikes me as :censored: and grossly unfair and does not strike me as that type of person. If I was in that boat and things changed in the world I would take the i...

Re: Scrapping Matchday Programs
Guess it would be interesting to know how much Tigers make or lose on them. If people like them and want them then they should stay with clubs of our size. Get Jerseys position though, in order to break even probably have to charge more knowing you only sell few hundred, in which case you put more p...
