Re: Tigers vs Toulouse 1997

I was working in Toulouse when this game was on. Life would have been unbearable had we lost and I was especially grateful to Darren for scoring a try as I'd bragged up our front row prior to the game. Not so cool was meeting Carbenau's mum in the Tavern Baverois after losing in the final. She was v...

What did Bath use instead of the 13 shirt?
I believe their full back wore 16 so winger 15 and o/c 14. I may be wrong as the mists of time roll on
I think that's right!

Re: J. MAY ESQ.

Problem with losing The Best Winger in the Works (as many pundits have labelled him) is that it's not a particularly strong position for us. Makes the Nadolo signing vital. Holmes is a great option but could be poached by Welsh regions next time his contract is up; Thompsone is near retirement; the...

Re: J. MAY ESQ.

Decent player yes, but if he didn’t want to stay then fair enough. I don’t want us to keep someone who doesn’t want to be at the club. Spend his wages on a Cole replacement...tight heads are worth their weight in gold. Heard from several sources that May was a key part of a player led revolt at Glo...

Re: J. MAY ESQ.

Wingers! Money grabbing primadonas! Harrumph. All you do is catch the ball, run and fall over? And you want my undying support for that? Harrumph. What about the deserving craftsmen who go through the grunt, groan, push and shove to get you ballet dancers the ball in the first place? You are becomin...

Re: Will games get cancelled?

Closing schools is dumb as our government has recognised thank goodness. Children seem to only get a mild illness (there have been zero fatalities in the 9 and under age group) and, if parents are working, these children are likely to go to Grandparents thus putting the most vulnerable at risk. Agr...

Re: Will games get cancelled?

The only fatal disease spreading out control at the moment is Panic. Panic is more deadly and has wider consequences than any virus. (Thus spake the ex prop from behind a Darth Vader breath mask, two dozen bottles of hand sanitser and a wall of Andrex bog roll. Other brands are available, but as th...

Re: 4 weeks for Manu 10 for Marler

The game I love has died. A bunch of witless, humourless (Please insert own description here) set these punishments....... Disgusted of Llanfoist.

Joe, The next time you see AWJ just lamp him. Take your three weeks and have done with it.

An absolute travesty.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

We could go the other way and name outstanding overseas players from bygone eras (eg no longer playing)… Fritz Van Herden Joel Stranksy Josh Kronfeld Waisale Serevi And many many more. Who was the Fijian who came alongside Serevi? I forget his name? Seru Rabeni Agreed! I thought he must be in there.

Re: England v Wales

But there is mitigation, surely? It was low on the tackle. But he was dealing with a much taller player. There was contact, but no force. No more than a friendly tug?

Re: Sarries vs Leicester - Teams Up

A loss, but not a drubbing? Seemed to pivot on the TV yellow. A high risk strategy, the intercept.

I'll await the views of first hand spectators with interest.
