Re: Tigers v Bristol - 27th April 2019

We had already beento the corner several times and came away with nothing. But let's do the same again and expect differing outcomes.... Like kicking for 3, inevitably messing up the restart and gifting them points with petulant errors and wasteful handling... Happened game after game for 2 seasons...

Re: Tigers v Bristol - 27th April 2019

In tight games like yesterday, taking the points was the correct decision, even Pat Howard stated that on the terraces......it put Tigers in the lead and extended it to 6 points.....if they had gone for the corner and come away with nothing there would be more people saying the wrong decision was m...

Re: Tigers v Bristol - 27th April 2019

Whilst clearly we aren’t playing anywhere near well enough to justify beating anyone on reputation, yesterday was a game that we should have won. I personally felt that during the second half we wasted our opportunities by going for penalties instead of the corner. I know the lineout hasn’t function...

Re: Sale vs Tigers

If we’d stopped running into brick walls everytime we had an overlap tonight, we would have been a lot closer or even sneaked a win. We weren’t a million miles off and the score flatters Sale just like it did at Saracens. I saw some positives to take away from tonight’s loss and I’ll accept that at ...

Re: Sale vs Tigers

If we used some of the obvious overlaps we’ve had, then we’d be right in this game

Re: Sale vs Tigers

Looked to me like the Sale player (assuming Beaumont) went headfirst into Kalamafoni at the ruck and then the hit in retaliation earned the red

Re: Team News v Scarlets

Effectively a brand new team playing away at Scarlets late on a Saturday with nothing on the line.... not many prem teams would have put in a good performance in the same circumstances in my opinion. As Murphy said post game, a couple of young lads got better from the game time and some other player...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 4

Good! Why on Earth would we swap England's number one scrum half for Hougaard? Hougaard is very good but I'd prefer to have Youngs playing for us! The question is, was there ever a possibility of it happening or has someone just made up a rumour? This is the first of a three year contract for him a...

Re: Gloucester 23

We definitely need a good first half as Gloucester have some real firepower on the bench. As always the game will be won in the forwards and expecting lots of niggle between Genge and Balmain in the scrums.

We should take this at home but we will need to front up against their physical pack.

Re: Bath next week ....

Respect to Louw for admitting it wasn’t a try. Disappointed with that result, as it’s one that we could have and should have won. On to next game, TV to score the winning try and get our season back on track :smt017

Yet still only 10 points up.
Not sure why you’d think Bath being 10 points up is a good thing. Either way enjoy the second half ellis9 :smt023

Re: Bath next week ....

2 great scores from Bath, the sheer strength of Jamie Roberts to power over the line even after being tackled and also the mysterious skill of scoring a try despite having 3 players off their feet and knocking the ball on.... well played JP Doyle! And before anyone says I’m blaming the ref for our ...
