Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 1

I am impressed by the skill of JP14 in creating that video however I do think the conclusions particulrly the one drawn by Traveller are a little harsh. In life we all make decisons that we come to regret. For Toomua it is now apparent that he thought his regular international career over, I doubt ...

As he plays for the army he is probably just training with our guys while they are in Aldershot. I wouldn't read anymore into it until there is an official announcement
Would have been pretty easy for them to say that in reply to the twitter post though.

Less likely than LCFC winning the premier league?

Re: Players retirement

Sorry anz, are you saying you don’t think HMRC should make any provision at all, or that you think the provisions they make currently are exactly right, and no changes are needed? teds, my opinion is that rugby players shouldn’t get any special provisions from HMRC. So you think HMRC should change ...

Re: Players retirement

That said, the clubs and RFU maybe should have a hand but I don’t think HMRC etc should make provisions. Re: Players retirement

I have some sympathy with those who lose their careers fairly suddenly. Although I am not a pro rugby player, I lost my nursing career fairly soon after being diagnosed with cancer. I was 31 years of age and left with disabilities that were incompatible with nursing. It was an absolutely devastatin...

Re: Players retirement

Tough game admittedly, but they are paid well, often at a young age. They can make their own provisions.

Re: Leicester Tigers up for sale for £60 Million

£60 million, not a chance property developers would interested at that.

Curious times! I immediately thought of the King Power owners but is that at all likely, or even a possibility?

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

I’m basing it on what Ackerman did with the Lions. Yes, he got them to finals but couldn’t win it. Gustard has improved Quins, but I don’t think he’ll get them into a position where they win anything. Progress is one thing, but actually winning something is different. I'm sure we can all agree that...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 7

So what I see here is just more and more SH journeymen signings. I haven't got a clue who most of them are. Think it's probably time to call it a day with Tigers, I've no idea what they represent anymore. SH journeymen.....but you’ve never heard of them? Yes that's the point Ah, I see, you used the...

Re: Ellis Genge

I’m assuming this in reference to Pat on Rugby Tonight and it was nothing at all like an attempt, effort or approach.
