Re: Dear Murphs

I think there always has to be some Loyalty shown the GM for what he did for us as a player, but let’s look at the cold, hard facts of this season. 16 competitive games 5 wins 11 losses Scored 355 (avg per game 22.18) Conceded 491 (avg per game 30.68) Conceding almost 500 points in 16 games is atroc...

Re: Dear Murphs

The issue is too much player power at the club! Can you imagine rob Baxter going to the boys hmm who should I pick this week lads player a or player b?! Outrageous stuff. It shows murphys inexperience. I totally agree with other posters saying the squad lacks depth. The present squad currently looks...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

Just catching up on the posts... I’m just trying to put some ideas out there of what may have happened. I highly doubt a young player would have spoken to the press saying they aren’t giving me £130k. I have it on good authority that it was much less and this is something that’s been out out there. ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

Yes he has been given opportunities in the cup where he turned out 2 MOTM performances as I previously mentioned. He has had one notable appearance in the prem which was 50 mins v Newcastle. Other appearance have been 13 mins or less! Can hardly call that a decent crack of the whip especially in a c...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

BFG Exactly!! He hasn’t been given an opportunity so how can you possibly say he doesn’t look at that level? Put him in a team with Spencer and Farrell or Care and Marchant or Youngs and Tuilagi. I’m pretty sure that would change your mind. You can’t do it all on your own.... That as well as a coach...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

BFG.... So let’s just look at what I said.... these players were given an opportunity and a run of games and look where they are now. So due to him not getting the run of games how can you know his ‘level’? There are three or four clubs in the premiership that would love to have him in their team an...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

Whilst I appreciate the last poster’s comments re teachers etc. You have to remember that this is a short career and players have to get the most out of it that they can. Look at footballers and I know it’s not really comparable numbers wise but it’s the same principle. Get the most out of your care...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

George Ford is not our marquee player and he isn't on 600,000 a year, he's on around £450,000. Hi Raging Bull, The club has two marquee players.... Are you telling me he went Leicester for less than he was On at Bath? The young kids are getting shafted by Ged Glynn. It’s all smoke and mirrors and t...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

Incredible stuff being posted on here. I’m all for a bit of speculation but how does anyone know about individuals contracts at the club? I have it on very good authority that any leak on contracts is coming from Ged Glynn. Imagine your head of rugby operations spilling the beans to the press. AMATE...

Re: Tigers vs Saracens

My worst fears were realised at about lunch time today for the team.... Murphy is rudderless. Bakewell tart is clueless. I hate to have to say this but if you need to win games you have to twist sometimes. The choice of nine for this game is irrelevant. Hardwick and White played together at U20s and...

Re: Tigers vs Saracens

Anyone else feel that a fresh approach next season is needed. Whilst I have the utmost respect of people showing loyalty to the club it creates a mates culture especially player to head coach. Experienced DOR, a forwards coach with the right work ethic for the club and an exciting backs coach who wi...

Re: Tigers vs Saracens

I am genuinely concerned for the team this weekend. After watching last weekend there is obviously huge system flaws in defence and attack. Gloucester were made to look like world beaters in that first half. The issue with 'hiding' your fly half in defence becomes so apparent on a wrap play. Olowafe...
