Them bringing in Smith at loosehead is a clear sign that the scrum is not good enough at the moment. I’ve been really disappointed with Whitcombe’s development - I thought he would have improve a lot more. He’s barely been used this season. Thrown on against Newcastle with the scrum down a player o...

If we are worried about giving away a pen for sealing off when running down the clock we should be practicing that scenario more . As well as going to ground, the other option is of course to try to bump the defender, then stand up in the tackle to set up a rolling maul, gain some ground, wind the ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)
I would hope with a new attack coach we can build a style to suit the strengths of our players ie: Freddie at 15 etc and enable those players to play to their strengths. To be fair Freddie on the wing is only happening because we've got four or five wingers out injured but three fit fullbacks. Inde...

My view is and im probably wrong... that the only piece of the puzzle letting this side down is the club and the coaching team, Grewcock i dont think is a good enough S+C coach, we have had no attack / backs coach, sorry Matt smith should be no where near the 1st team and as for DM he doesnt know th...

Olowefela and Odogwu should be included in the chat about wingers that didn't make it here, the latter becoming an Italian international The former couldnt tackle and almost anyone to a man said Saints got the better brother, the latter had apparently an attitude that stank as he thought he was big...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45
Diamond “ You’d expect a reaction coming up to little old Newcastle, and we’ll have to be at our best to stay close to them. “They’ll turn to their mauling game, and it must be a new Australian technique or something with their head coach Dan McKellar because they’ve got blockers in all over those ...

Lifted from X "The RFU has issued a statement on the TMO confusion at the weekend. It says that the TMO has already made a decision before Austin raised the incident. The RFU says it was ‘regrettable’ the conversation was broadcast. However, “TMOs do not actively listen or react to the broadca...

Re: Saracens - Harlequins TMO
When Luke Pearce was on GBR being interviewed ages ago now he insists that his team especially the TMO have no access to any commentary that is broadcast, so they must have that option if he insists on it. Plus isn't the TMO 10 sec behind anyway on the live feed so of course the commentators are goi...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)
I do think when it comes to signings there’s an underlying level of frustration and people are losing patience of another year of not competing at the top level. I accept some of this is outside the club’s control - but if you look at the last 4 years. 20/21 season - transition year because of Covi...

We also had rumours of De Bruin and Eloff at prop. From memory especially, Eloff was linked around the same time/same story as Perese. I suspect one more back row or back row/lock hybrid depending on the future of Cracknell, Rogerson and Carter. Perhaps the much discussed second centre too. Then ma...

Re: Sam Carter
Understandable as wasn't he also here for the year to help bed in Dan as the coach so there was someone Dan could rely on to follow and explain his way and style etc and help gel with the lads and get things across, and now hes in and its time to move on

Kata hasn't played 13, Kelly has started to look good at 13 outside of Kata. I should stick with that combo Cokanasiga has had a good cameo's at 12 and clearly more a 12 than 13. But I wouldn't pair him with someone who hasn't played at 13 at all. I feel if Cokanasiga starts at 12 he will need Scot...

You dont know the conditions on people births, for example, my brother was born in Singapore so makes him Singaporean, but due to being with the British army, documents had to be signed to establish him as British other wise he would be called into national service and would have to go back to a cou...
