Re: Cockers thoughts on the Prem etc
An interesting interview which I listened to last night. Have hardly missed a Tigers v Saints derby match in years I have to agree but maybe that’s because over the last 8 seasons or so with 20 minutes to go the result has been decided. For me some of the other problems is that the atmosphere has be...

Not for me! Sorry, and like The Eden Park range, far too dear!
Might be worth playing v Sale to cause some confusion with Sale playing in blue!!!

Re: Tigers v Sale (A) - Premiership - Friday 10th May 2024 - KO: 7:45pm
Having made myself watch the recording of the game v Bristol I honestly hope we get a ref and assistants who spot such obvious knock ons! The Genge one that then meant Brown got carded was so obvious! Brown slapping it back was nowhere near as clear as the Bristol player who got away with it just ov...

Re: Tigers v Bristol (H) - Premiership - Saturday 27th April 2024 - KO: 15-00
I’ve never seen so many obvious knock ons missed especially the one that then saw Browny offend to get yellow and there was their winger in the last 16 or so minutes who lost the ball when tackled and he blatantly reached out to slap it back! Still, it’s over now! Let’s hope we get some luck in the ...

Re: Doom and Gloom
One step at a time. Not bothered about which European competition we are in as we need to finish this season well. Secondly fitness is an issue, then whoever is fitness coach has to be brave enough to see help: I would as I’d at to be the best at the job for the sake of the team! At Saints last week...

Cockerill always said after any defeat,” Blame me not the players as I chose the team and made the changes.” Did DMK falsely think the game was won! George Martin looked upset o come off and Cole and Cronin could have gone a lot deeper. JVP looked very tired but he has had such a long lay off. Again...

Agree with RaginBull. So now let’s put it right v Exeter and Sale starting by trusting some of the youngsters like Carnduff, Vanes, FFT etc. into the squad or be really brave and put Cole, Montoya and Wiese on the bench especially if Heyes is fit! As for fitness: it’s an odd one as vLeinster and New...

Was at the game and you cannot blame Whitely: a) Pollard should have done a Ford, Floody or Burns and call for a few more phases to try to get a penalty or at least take the clock down. b) not Whiteley’s fault we didn’t kill the game when 19-0 up! c) Brown’s two cards very unfortunate: first one cam...

Re: Tigers v Bristol (H) - Premiership - Saturday 27th April 2024 - KO: 15-00
I agree about George Martin not going on tour with England as he needs a Summer to have a decent preseason! Trouble is, along with Earle, Borthwick sees George as the main enforcer! Sadly George was injured before half time v France but still played after half time! As for Bristol: for me it’s a mus...

Re: Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05
Was at Franklins and in the first half their fans were worried. I was worried for us as the amount of defending we were having to do had been incessant and all those Saints’ players are incredibly strong and fit. Like in other games we butchered two tries which if scored would have seen Saints have ...

Re: Televised Games
I’ve travelled to most away games and teams like Newcastle, Quins, Gloucester, Bath, Bristol have had great attendances as will Sale.
I’m awful at watching on TV so find I’m less nervous when I’m at games and for me nothing beats being at the grounds!

Re: Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05
As usual off to Franklins and I’d happily take a very good performance with a win but 1 or 2 bonus points would be ok too. The main problem for Tigers is how inconsistent we’ve been, mainly due to hardly ever having the same team out BUT at least the backs have now played 2 games together (if we inc...

Well played Saints. Some great attacking play and have smashed a weakened Bulls’ side but I believe they’d have beaten Bulls anyway.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)
When have we seen anything near a full strength squad turn out this season! Yes, all teams get injuries etc but when I’m not watching Tigers home and away I watch the other Premiership teams and they manage to get settled squads out. Borthwick had a season of awful performances before turning things...

Congratulations to Quins. Brilliant result and I’m expecting Saints to join them in the Semis later on tonight.
