Re: Black Lions fixture

Cockerill was a top bloke. He once turned up to coach about 150 school children when 3-4 other England players suddenly didn’t turn up. “ No problem,” he said, then told a few of us what he needed setting out equipment wise and for a whole afternoon had the children enthralled by his coaching. After...

Re: Leinster mind games begin? - Champions Cup (A) - Saturday 06th April 2024 - KO:8:00pm

Really enjoyed the way we tried to play last night. Now as others have said, hopefully we will put in the best performances of the season v Saints, Bristol, Sale and Exeter. Saints were very good today but they did give quite a few penalties away: they have a very strong defence and their attack can...

Re: Leinster mind games begin? - Champions Cup (A) - Saturday 06th April 2024 - KO:8:00pm

Great effort by the whole team: well played Leinster and we just had a couple of things that didn’t go our way. Personally I felt that tonight we competed hard and though the attack still wasn’t clinical enough there were signs we can play a more balanced game. Another try through their line out mis...

Re: Leinster mind games begin? - Champions Cup (A) - Saturday 06th April 2024 - KO:8:00pm

Have some supporters, not RunTigerRun, forgotten the first season under Borthwick: truly awful and the season up to Christmas when Borthwick left we had some atrocious performances at home and I remember being at Sarries thinking what the hell is going on when by half time we were getting thrashed a...

Re: Leinster mind games begin? - Champions Cup (A) - Saturday 06th April 2024 - KO:8:00pm

Nothing to lose so just show pride in the shirt but for me the main thing is no injuries as the next game v Saints we have to get some points then hope we get a reasonably fit side out for the last few league games. It’s a shame that for what is supposed to be the top competition we’ve been unlucky ...

Re: French rugby 2023/24

Pleased Zac Henry is getting massive praise for his Fly Half play at Stade. To play as well as he did with PAU whilst his poor dad was so ill was a huge credit to Zac and the encouragement of his father who did, sadly, pass away. Zac has credited Steve Borthwick and Tigers for helping to improve him...

Yes they did then everyone was miraculously fit.
Makes no difference what side they put out we just need to get everything to click for 80 minutes or maybe 97 minutes!

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45

With all the disruption Tigers have had it’s not an excuse but a reality that with our awful luck with injuries and international call ups we were always going to struggle to get any continuity! Watching the players walk round the pitch to applaud and talk to us who went was a huge testament to them...

Re: JVP

Mitchell and JVP will serve England very well if they can stay fit: bit like the competition between Dawson, Bracken and in the early days of their careers Youngs and Care.

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45

Those of us at Newcastle were proud of the fight in the team and I remember last season up there and even the season we won the Premiership we only just got the job done. Again we lack continuity in the squad due to injuries and International call ups. Bath and Sarries too have rested some of their ...

I’ve not washed my car as that would certainly mean rain! I’m just working out a couple of routes as the A1 at Washington has had problems all week! I’m driving back afterwards but have to get there first!! A1 Doncaster has been bad all week too but at least you can get off and go through Pontefract...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45

Sadly Martin, like Earle are the two England players Borthwick dreads having out. Martin was limping a lot after 60 minutes v Ireland, was a doubt v France and played on after taking a couple of heavy knocks but had loads of strapping. It’s a shame for us that in a shortened season we will be missin...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45

I’m also worried a bout the future of the club as how many fans will renew season tickets( we have renewed) and others turn up to see Tigers when in a must game win we again have been hit by injuries to our internationals! Reffel, Cole, Martin, Chessum, Heyes! Maybe we are just unlucky or are we doi...
