Re: England v Wales

Greenwood just doesn’t like Tigers which is strange considering it was with us he really developed into a top class player. Ford and Farrell offer different things but both are “class” players. Thought Ford captained England superbly on Saturday: kept his head when the going got tough, got the team ...

Re: Steve Booth

Such sad news. 42 is so young to be taken from the world.
Top man, great player and gave us so many happy memories with dazzling feet and super speed. He even kicked us to victory in a couple of games: what a talent!
Thoughts go to all his family and friends.

Re: Harlequins v Tigers

As it is at Twickenham Stadium one presumes it is. However, my wife and I really enjoy going to the Stoop so personally I’m disappointed it’s at Twickenham. The Quins’ fans are some of, if not, the best fans around and last season all the fans we chatted to prematch wanted us to stay up. The atmosph...

Ford in The Mail today

The last part of the interview sums up everything that was wrong last season. Briefly, Ford said when everyone came into training after the home defeat by Exeter some players acted as though they’d won by 50 points: Ford says he gave a sh-t reaction to that attitude and again, some players questione...

Re: I’m slightly worried Tigers are going to be undercooked...

The Premiership Cup will be great preparation as, unlike friendliest against inferior opposition, Exeter, Worcester, Bath And Saints will want to win. Tigers and Sarries will have the most players missing. Murphy has already said 15 players could be missing. I’m hoping TV will stay with a Tigers and...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 1

Problem is it’s World Cup Year so we won’t see a lot of players until November and then they could be in need of a rest. I’m hoping that Murphy almost forgets about the lads in all the World Cup squads and tells those left that this is a chance to become true Tigers. On the positive side, I wasn’t s...

Re: Bath v Tigers tickets

Last season only a couple of clubs sent us tickets so I got mine from the club we were visiting. Bath v Leicester has traditionally sold out very quickly. Don’t know whether we shall make it this year as we will rely on knowing when it’s on and TV will most likely want the game. Have a good weekend....

Re: bet on tigers.

Glad there is optimism for the new season. Problem for Tigers is the World Cup so teams like Worcester, Gloucester, London Irish and Bristol, is that they could all get off to a flyer whilst teams like us, Sarries and others with considerable international call ups will be praying their reduced squa...

Re: Maybe Genge starts the season with us? England RWC training squad

Went to Quins away at the end of the season and, much as it pains me to say it, Marler outshine Cole and Genge. He didn’t have a good game v Tigers at Welford Road in December but the whole Quins’ team was poor. Credit where credit is due as he has become more disciplined whereas Cole and Genge gave...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

Now this is a player we could do with but maybe in the grand scheme of things, long term stability of a playing squad, Wilson isn’t the answer. However, maybe worth gambling the loan could become permanent as Newcastle might not get promoted! Can we afford, both financially and by losing another pla...

Re: New Kit

I was really happy, having worn Canterbury kit all my life, when they at last produced Tigers’ kits and other items of clothing. Yes, I too didn’t get some of the designs (eg the bib one and orange one)but was pleased Canterbury brought an end of paying £70 for anything like player quality kit. I st...

Re: Howard to mentor Murphy

Glad Howard has returned. Please can he bring some much needed clarity to Tigers. Having supported home and away for over 35 years I just want to get back to the times of Chalkie White, Dean and Pat Howard who all put excellent squads, coaching and fitness programmes in place in a clear, determined ...

The player cost of relegation

I feel really sorry for Newcastle. Falcons’ fans as yet another player , Zachary Kibirige, has now left. I fear that Deano might not be able to get Newcastle back up as Ealing are doing a Bristol with their owner willing to invest big money to get promotion. Tigers must get things right and make sur...
