Re: Tigers vs Castres - 20 Sep 20 at 1500

Castres last appearance in Europe was an excellent win, 33-27 at Worcester.
The way we’ve been playing Castres will travel hoping to win and I’m sure Borthwick will ensure our players know they will have to play their best game yet to win.

Re: Matches with Test Crowds

At the moment it’s probably a good job that we aren’t having fans in as Gloucester made a huge loss on the 1,000 fans they had in v Quins. Quins also found having about 2, 700 in was not financially viable. Tigers need the corporate side of business to kick start soon. I think most fans will respect...

Re: Team vs Saints

Barnes, as always, showed he’s the best ref around. He makes it very clear to the players about how to react. Our cards were deserved, and as I said in a previous post Lavanini was not to blame. The rules are clear and like Saints card, it was a high tackle but in real time not reckless. Barnes also...

Re: Team vs Saints

Nadolo was incredible and all his tackles were fantastic: he also made one important turnover turnover and proved again he’s pretty good in the scrum! Freddie Steward’s tackle on Naiyaravoro was superb as was his penalty kick. Hopefully he has become first choice at 15 and will continue to grow. Lav...

Re: Team vs Saints

Great spirit shown and Nadolo is one great Tiger already. Zac Henry also played exceptionally well. Hopefully we can sort the discipline as each card was correct and Barnes was brilliant reffing again. Proud again to be a Tiger. Now let’s back it up next week v Castres who are also finding form( not...

Re: Team vs Saints

Good to see Henry get a chance at 10 even though it’s due to George being injured. Forget the form of Saints as I’ve always said if Saints could be brainwashed into thinking they were playing us every week they’d be unbeatable! Tigers haven’t “turned up” in the last couple of games against Saints an...

Re: Midweek Game - Wed 09 Sep Away to Wasps

I never have accepted losing, especially heavily, to any team. Now the Saints’ game is huge. As I supporter both home and away, as usual I was bitterly disappointed by the defeat, felt like throwing all my Tigers’ shirts away, THEN wanted to get down to Welford Road V Saints to roar “Tigers’” all ma...

Re: Tigers vs Sale - 05 Sep 20

If we can start to sometimes run the ball back instead of kicking it away so much I think we will begin to get more wins. I still think Henry has to start as he has that ability to sidestep and create space. Ford is a very good attacking fly half but isn’t given the freedom to play; likewise Youngs....

Re: Tigers vs Sale - 05 Sep 20

No Reffel! Is he injured as against Sale I’d have thought we needed his ability in the loose and for turnovers!!
I hope Manu doesn’t injure Fordy as Sale will get their centresto smash through the middle!!
Come on Tigers.

Re: Tigers vs Sale - 05 Sep 20

Surely Zac Henry has to be in the squad : his attitude has been commendable and he has that spark about him that will compliment Ford’s attacking play.
I think he deserves to play in a strong team.

Re: Gloucester vs. Tigers - Sun 30 Aug 20 (1630)

Was really worried we would lose by 50+ today. The first half showed the coaches that: A) Zac Henry has to be in the squad as he never gives up and has feet to match the departed TV. Potter too looked feisty and at last supported a line break (by Henry) to score. Some backs had poor games and will r...

Re: Gloucester vs. Tigers - Sun 30 Aug 20 (1630)

Great to see so many youngsters getting game time and the experience will do them no harm unless Gloucester do thrash us. Bath, Exeter and Sarries are the only ones to have got good results with the starting fifteens being very different in away games to their first fifteen; Bath, however did have a...

Re: London Irish

We won and showed real guts when lots of things like injuries to two locks went against the team. No complaints about the disallowed tries though I thought Youngs was unlucky in that Sir gave it then the TMO got involved: strange as Tigers V Bath, TMO failed to spot an obvious forward pass for one o...

Re: London Irish

Very good team and Dan Cole, what an absolute star and example to all our youngsters;in to start having had to shore things up for almost a half v Bath.
Fantastic effort by Dan.
Irish mustn’t be underestimated like earlier on in the season.
Come on Tigers.

Re: Teams up v Bath

Forty six asked us to think about Manchester United! Until just after Christmas United were well off the pace but the club kept faith in their young squad! They then overturned a huge points deficit and goal difference compared to City to get into the top four! Tigers won’t get into the top four but...
