Re: Tigers v Calvisano - Teams up!

I was entertained on Saturday with the teams performance post Saints and very impressed with the youngsters who under Matt O'Connor would never see the pitch. Great game by Sam Lewis, Reffell, Kerr, Hardwick fitting in well, Heyes and Steward was an unknown to me but really impressed at 15 before mo...

Re: Tigers v Pau Saturday Nov 16th

RB, Tigerbeat is Boladau registered for Europe? Not sure as I believe that he is only here on loan. Tigers have 64 players registered at present on the Challenge Cup team list. I am not sure of the maximum number of players that a team can register but this sounds a lot compared to the past Champio...

Re: Transfers and Rumours Non-Tigers 2019-20

Telegraph reporting Italy head coach Conor O’Shea agrees move to take up key role at RFU I've just read the same thing. He has, apparently, done well in laying good foundations in Italy but it does seem strange to not 'see the job through' and I do wonder if there is a plan to relegate them from th...

Well the Frenc pot bellies of Poite and Gauzere are certainly not flat!
However the TMO Marius Joker SA was the best New Zealand player! :smt018

Re: ITV coverage of WC

Bit surprised by the lack of highlights. On ITV4 at 7, ITV at way past midnight. No preview shows at all. This was a World Cup semi final! Presume they've paid a fair bit for the coverage, surprised they're not making more of it. I know it's live at a difficult time, but they havn't really made muc...

Re: TMO question

Slightly different tack. 2 very close tmo calls in Russia v Samoa this morning both given yellows. Bayfield and his crew in the studio felt both should have been red what channel was that on, didn't show in my EPG nor is it showing on ITV Hub ITV 4. I think that’s where they are putting some of the...

Re: Tigers Financial Loss

No surprises there then, Season ticket have fallen from about 15,500 to 11000, that’s hell of a drop. The product on the pitch has been second rate at the very best! The days are long gone when you would buy a season ticket to almost guarantee to make sure you got first dibs at any Finals tickets! ...

Re: Dave Denton Announces Retirement

Today is a very sad day for Tigers and Dave Denton. On 6th October last year at Twickenham we supported Saints in their benefit game for Rob Horne whose playing career was finished in the opening seconds of the previous Tigers v Saints game at Welford Road. At Twickenham we lost Jonny May in the fir...

Re: James Haskell

Do we think that he'll really do it or is it media exposure to get on strictly! If the answer is "James Haskell " then you are asking the wrong question! This is just for publicity and he is hoping that his in-laws open a few more doors for him in the tv world. So glad he was never a Tiger. :smt019

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2018-19

So Tom Varndell has made a sharp exit from another club ~ South China Tigers to join Joe Ford in assembling a new team at Yorkshire Carnegie. All last seasons team left when the financial troubles kicked! in so at present Yorkshire Carnegie have 6 players with Sione Faletau just joining them. Presum...

No doubt Messrs Scott and Toms will do conduct a world wide search to ensure we get a world class owner, and we will end up with a debt laden management buy-out, lead by Matt O'Connor and Phil Blake.

Re: New Kit

Quality of C.T was excellent. - They were good for that era of Rugby. The game has changed where tackling a player now requires tight fitting shirts. C.T and poor Fran Cotton was left behind.( Like most of us "Old sweats") Ah! but the CT Cotton traders shirts still live on and by magic they still s...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2018-19

Thanks for the news Strawclearer on the transfers on "old Tigers!", even though Jack Roberts scored against us I would not recommend he returns here, but his aspirations were blown in Wales! So I had a quick scan at the current transfers & leavers of ex Tigers that I am aware of ~ ( yes I know the l...
