Re: Glynn and Mele leaving the club

It is always very sad to see staff leave and given this terrible pandemic and little income then pruning is unfortunately necessary.Whilst I am not sure of David Mele's full role in the coaching I wish him well in the future and suggests if he is to return to France he goes before Macron retaliates ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

As I’ve said they’re better off saying that there’s no news on signings. That way nobody gets their hopes up and it’s a nice surprise when we sign a magician from Australia. Wizard! But don't wizards do magic? Who's Pin Ball Wizard did not do magic!! It was magic :smt002 """ # but hey ho whatever f...

Re: Players asked to take pay cuts!

News in the Daily Mail regarding Gloucester and Wasps wanting to make the 25% ish! paycuts permanent. So I bet Jonny May is really pleased that he left the Tigers Family for a managerless, financially bust and dishearteded Gloucester club. These two clubs appear to be held together with sellotape.....

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

Not sure I would say 2 hours is "rapid" Anyway realistically he's going to be 2 years off Premiership rugby at least. Say 2 seasons at Richmond (Which has a few medical students in it already Former academy Captain Ed Milne for example) or something like that with him playing A league during the te...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

Here is a prelim. list of Premiership arrivals, departures and retirements.
I note that Jordan Crane is calling it a day and retiring at Bristol, i wonder if he will stay on the coaching side?

Re: 4 weeks for Manu 10 for Marler

That’s good news, I guess. Yes it’s not technically right but at the moment not playing rugby because of coronavirus is a punishment in itself. NOBODY is playing rugby now! The idea of a ban is to remove the player from playing for the stated period, and to punish the player, and by association the...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

Blue cheese I assume you mean Blommitijies? Yes I would love to have him back too but I doubt whether that is financially possible. Yes I thought of Mr Boejangles as soon as I heard of a possible Holmes exit, Clayton Blommetjies plays wing or full back for The Cheetahs and he put in a great perform...

Re: Transfers and Rumours Non-Tigers 2019-20

...by all accounts Yarde on the verge of re-committing to Sale. Perhaps good for Leicester in a roundabout sort of way a it lessens the chances of May signing for them. Any reduction of potential options could perhaps see the offer on the table from Leicester seem more favorable - being left in lim...

Re: Transfers and Rumours Non-Tigers 2019-20

According to the Daily Mail Sale are expected to offer Marland Yarde a new contract following his rehab and try scoring rate ~ particularly against Tigers ~ So is that another option that Jonny May was reportedly exploring by going to Sale or the near bankrupt Newcastle Falcons coming to an end ??? ...

Re: Exeter Chiefs - 21 March at Sandy Park

Well the Tigers ticket policy is as follows :~ 3) In the event of postponement, or should a game be rescheduled this ticket will be valid for the rearranged match only. It is the ticket holder's responsibility to ascertain the date and kick off times of the rearranged match. The club will have no fur...

Medics are saying that we are 7 days behind Italy in the Coronavirus cycle, and it’s also being reported that within 7- 10 the government will be asking people with even the smallest symptom to self isolate. If this happens I think the best we can hope for is the game to be played behind closed doo...

Re: Oh dear, Mr Rowe...

I wonder if there is an opportunity here for Tigers to gain from this appalling Exeter fiasco, where for years FlyBe have transported Exeter players and fans only to be shut out by the vindictive Rowe. :smt013 Many FlyBe staff were redundant from Birmingham and I wonder if Tigers would offer FlyBe s...

Re: Will Hurrel

What I did not realise is that this terrible injury to Will happened in the 50th minute of the Tigers v Bristol game on Saturday 4th January, and he had a knock before and continued to play on without HIA assessment.Replaced on 53 minute. " He was in an awful state after the match and Tigers and A&E...
