Re: England v Italy - 13th Feb at 14:15

I'm not surprised by the England selection against Italy. Disappointed but not surprised. Every poor performance or bad result throws up certain English fall guys and a certain few will always survive, they have to for continuities sake otherwise they'll be disorganised to the point where nothing e...

If that's EJ's idea of moving on after last weeks performance, I think it's about time he moved on. Robert the Bruce and his spider should not have a place in the English professional game.

Re: Midweek Game - Wed 09 Sep Away to Wasps

Personally I'm laughing at the moaners. These are dead games! SB has been given a golden opportunity to find out about his players and his coaches (and I expect a small turnover in the next few months). If by next Easter we see no improvement, then moan. I really think none on here have been in a t...

Re: Teams up v Bath

In my humble opinion, there's too much focus on the players on this thread. Surely the object of yesterdays selection was to give the coaches and management an opportunity to see how the new and younger players perform in a live game. To spot strengths and weaknesses, partnerships and overall play, ...

People seem to be giving it as much credence as the Itoje to Tigers rumour, but I for one wouldn’t be surprised.
Does that mean we are getting Itoje then? :smt003
How does Itoje get on with Steve Borthwick?

Re: Good job Burns has left Bath...

Quite telling that no other premiership teams wanted to sign him. Are you sure they didn't? Maybe they did and he didn't rate the offer or they didn't fancy his terms. Maybe he just felt disillusioned in England and fancied chancing his arm in Japan, possibly the lure of experiencing a new culture ...

Re: England v Wales

One of the consequences of technology is that slow motion replays, freeze frame snapshots and cropped photographs can lead to conclusions which may be false or exaggerated. If I were accompanying Manu to the disciplinary panel, I'd be taking a large print of this: https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/...

Re: England v Wales

According to experts on twitter the Ref got Manu's red card 100% correct and had no choice but to do so. The reason being that Manu did not lead with his arms and it was therefore a shoulder charge and he made contact with the head. Apparently there is no mitigation for a shoulder charge unlike if ...

I remember when everyone used to complain about Borthwick as a captain, but he captained every team he was part of.
Hopefully we won't have to wait too long. He's the man who has got to make that decision, but in the meantime, an 'old head' would be good in the short term.....Dan's the man.

Re: RFU halves Championship funding.

Cardiff Tig you seem to be only focusing on international players but it's not just about international players. It is about club rugby. Just a few examples from the best current club side in England. Harry Williams played for Nottingham and Jersey Reds where he was scouted by Exeter. Luke Cowan-Di...

Re: RFU halves Championship funding.

"...we do not believe it [the Championship] is the primary place where Premiership and England players are discovered and developed.” RFU statement. Ok - I'll bite - which is the "primary place" then? Pacific Islands? South Africa? A good bite, and spot on. Irreparable. Narrow-minded...
