Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

Dr Flashman “ On the plus point we won’t be bottom for a few weeks so that’s a bonus!” And we can all sweat, watching them creep closer and closer, week by week, until . . . . :smt010 If we score the same amount of points as last year (41pts) and so do Sarries (78pts) then they'd still finish above...

The rule in your last sentence didn’t stop Mike Ford poaching George for Bath.
You say poaching, but Fordy didn't want to leave, I say poor retention negotiations and stubbornness by the board lost us Fordy to Bath!

Re: Heyneke Meyer

Our problems this season so far have not actually been the forwards, we have been lacking in the backs and possibly the unavailability of Youngs, Ford, Tuilagi, May, Vieanu plus the usual injuries may have contributed to that. If only!! - when have you seen our forward change the point of attack, r...

Re: Heyneke Meyer

We need a coach whose been consistently successful (not necessarily winning trophies!) over the past 5 years, any longer and it bears little relevance to the current style of play. No more risk taking. So that's a no from me to Heyneke!

Re: London Irish vs Tigers

Just watched the first half on the PM website, embarrassingly poor in virtually every aspect. Tafua looked a decent unit, solid and aggressive character compared to the rest of the meek looking forwards. Reid is just not doing it at 10, slow, poor decision making and appalling handling. We look Cham...

Re: Tigers v Pau Saturday Nov 16th

Sorry but Pau is massive. Win, win, win. All games matter. If anyone thinks they don’t then Tigers will never turn things round. No use turning up at Saints on a losing run. Completely agree, no more experimenting with selections whatever the opposition, put out the strongest and most experienced sq...

Re: Good Players Made To Look (Less Than) Ordinary

Geordan Murphy: “When you start as badly as that, it is tough to get back in, especially with their defence playing so well. Their physicality was good, they slowed our ball well and they also scored from some of our mistakes.” ...not according to Bristol who were 17-0 down at half time against a st...

Re: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

You can't doubt the business acumen of each board member, they run the business side of the club as well as their own ventures extremely well. But what also can't be denied is their utter failure to appoint a suitable coach. Appointing Mauger was an understandable risk which failed, so therefore app...

Where's Geordie?

Anyone seen or heard any sign of his post match rhetoric yet? Ahhh hugely disappointing They're a very physical side I thought they worked hard at times Not accurate enough We didn't take our chances Small mistakes cost us in the end Always tough against Sarries There were some positives we can take...

Re: Leicester vs Saracens

I also don’t get these little snide comments about a young academy player who has captained England U18’s, England U20’s and played for England v the Barbarians. A stand out player at youth and u20's, but has stalled in his transition to senior. Not doubting his potential but at the moment he is no...

Re: Premiership Round 1 - Worcester vs Tigers

White is being given too much game time, his box kick is rubbish, tackling sub-standard and passing slow. ...and those were his good bits! Just a dire and sub standard performance all over for a starting Prem SH, mixed in with the sort of petulance that will ultimately get pinged or a decision turn...

Re: debate about high tackling

I don't see any shoeing at the ruck any more, rarely see a dangerous challenge in the air these days, nor a spear tackle, no confusion with players there. So give it another few more months then finally the coaches/players mindsets will adapt as per the previous references and all this will be forgo...

Re: PRC Round 2 - Tigers vs Exeter

I thought the coaches had the right mix of players this time ie approx a third starting XV, a third benchers and a third development. Keeps the structure more stable and depth in squad experience ticking over. Hope its the same sort of mix for Bath. Greens work ethic is a great example to set for th...

Agreed, provided they get game time in preparation, which thankfully the PC will provide 👍

Re: PRC Round 1 - Warriors vs Tigers

With internationals away, new signings and no depth in squad, you can take two approaches to pre-season games: 1. Play your best available then as the season/injuries progresses, you have no experienced subs for continuity; 2. Play your 2nd/3rd choices to get them proper game time so when they are n...
