Re: Tom Youngs

I hear so many stories of how OTY's keeps players focussed on the training field, particularly those who's egos over step the mark and need some percussive therapy. A great player to have in the squad on and off the field.

Re: Racist supporter

Key lesson is to know your audience. Trying to be slightly amusing but at the same time plainly ignorant on social media means you attract all comers to interpret to their own interpretations and agendas. Racism should always be called out, ignorance should also be called out but not necessarily lab...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Episode 3 The revenge of the Contracts.

I suppose one question would be if you wanted a captain who is likely to be away during international windows/games or who will be still at Welford Road all season. Both Liebenberg and Reffell fit the latter although if Reffell really kicks off, we may start losing him in a seasons time to Wales du...

Down to earth Steve Diamond in The Times today - "He's used to having 24,000 people watching, wait until he sees more pigeons than people in the stadium!" :smt005

For me the pivotal signing of Jordan Taufua has cemented what is going to be a gnarly back row combo, and along with the front five we should have some decent front foot momentum for our half backs at last.

Re: Manu Tuilagi

I find it unfathomable and unforgiveable that Manu should sight :- "Steve Diamond “looks after players” as a chief reason for the switch" As the reason whay he left Tigers when the club rescued his career from injury. He'd already left the club so that wasn't the reason. After leaving he then agree...

Re: Finishing this season

Actually we were invited back but we felt that Jersey were not strong enough opposition for anything other than the first pre season match and made other plans that actually did not come to fruition, Jersey unfortunately arranged for Bath to visit them instead of us. The policy in the past has been...

Re: Finishing this season

Our pre season games for a few years have been shocking. Yes those games have been friendliest but we leaked tries to the likes of Jersey and seemed not to be concerned... Pre-season is and has always been a mix of 1st XV and Dev squads, with the purpose under match conditions of trialling players,...

Good God, if it's not Bondi, its the kit, or the beer, or the service, or the BoD, or the tannoy, or... (insert whinge here). Let the man grow into his role and get on with more important matters ie getting back to winning ways.

Murphy stated the team selection would be a collaboration between the DoR and Head Coach/coaches with the buck stopping with himself, sounds the right protocol for a team selection to me.

Speculation Gabriel Ibitoye is off to Agen. Surprising move at this stage of career but prob a very nice one. Does seem to be increasing amount of EQP moving abroad. https://www.rugbypass.com/news/one-of-the-brightest-young-talents-in-english-rugby-reportedly-set-to-move-to-france Gabriel Ibitoye i...

Re: Provisional Premiership Return Date ?

Or like New Zealand just eradicate the disease through contact tracing so that there is less of reliance on the vaccine? There has never been a vaccine found for Spanish Flu yet life returned to normal after 1920. There is a huge difference in lifestyle and culture in New Zealand which has helped w...
