Re: Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year

For me the YPOTY is a close choice between senior players Reffel and Heyes, and development players Steward and Thom Smith. Reffel for me due to his influence in the game and amount of appearances. POTY has to be Tom Youngs for not just his resurgence, but for setting the standard for all the newcom...

Re: DoR?

To hold someone to account you need to understand what they have been tasked to do. I imagine Geordan has been asked to ensure prem survival this season, establish a coaching team that can make us competitive in the future, rebalance the squad and make us less reliant on internationals who are miss...

Re: Positives going forward

Forwards generally improved since the "I know.... Let's have a stellar backline" idea backfired (No pun intended.) Looking forward to watching ball winners and ball retainers supplying good ball. ........... Just got to kick the kicking habit. Best signing this season Jordan Taufua, sets the bar fo...

Re: DoR?

Seems to me to be some double standards on this thread. Posters are unhappy about the constant criticism of our DoR who's job it is to be accountable. Yet posters are themselves happy to constantly criticise other posters who highlight Murphy's failures. Am i the only one who sees the hypocrisy in t...

Re: Tigers vs Bristol

I don't see the point or need to know when precisely Tigers will be climbing the table as re-building from the absolute bottom requires so much to be in place first. Priority is to spend the rest of this season creating that foundation then next couple of seasons building on that. So many changes i...

Re: Tigers vs Bristol

The reality is the entire squad 1-23 except possibly Steward are not our 1st choice starting XV. That being the case it was a dead rubber to blood an entire second XV. Positives - our structure has improved enormously due to better comms and the cohesion that follows, we don't roll over any more esp...

Re: Tigers vs Bristol

Tigers captained by a youngster, with two youngsters as VC's and one old head as a VC. Great opportunities for these guys and a great way to give leadership experience to the next generation. Rebuilding we are!

Re: Freddie Steward

Recently i have noticed a number of tries scored where there was no way the ball was at the back of the maul especially as the ball carrier had broken away with fellow players driving behind him. If it's a maul and all players are bound in then ball doesn't have to be at the back to be legal so the...

Re: Toulon v Tigers - Challenge Cup Semi

Seriously worried now about Olowefella, Hardwick and Sam Lewis. What the heck have they done to not get selected? Where's Jake Kerr? Are we only going to use the new incoming recruits and just leave the players who got Tigers to this semi-final on the training field. Think after next season a few o...

I'm looking forward to seeing van Wyk in a Tigers shirt - I think he could do a similar role to Thompstone in being a tough, dependable all-rounder on the wing.
Wings are covered but centres are still a bit under gunned?
