Re: Murphy coaches and relegation

I really don't get the consistent criticism of Ben Kay on here. Especially as it doesn't seem to extend to Rory Underwood as well. He's a Non-Executive Director. He's not part of the day to day management of the club. If you're disgruntled with decisions (which youveevery right to be) then direct yo...

Re: Borthwick

I'd imagine we're an attractive proposition for a coach looking to make their name, given that we've (statistically) NEVER been worse, yet have the infrastructure, supporter base, reputation to do much, much, much more.

Re: Good Players Made To Look (Less Than) Ordinary

After an abysmal season in 2018/19, the interesting question for me has always been: 'If not now, when?' 8 straight defeats at the start of the season was deemed not the time to part with Geordan, when he was interim Head Coach. Finishing the season in 11th, our worst ever finish, was deemed not the...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation

There's one point I'm not clear about in all of this...

What about this season? Are Saracens still spending above the cap?

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation

I echo the feelings of relief that THREE years of Saracens knowingly cheating has finally been uncovered. But quite frankly, this is a dark day for all of English rugby and so there's little 'joy' to take from this. The last three years of the Premiership has been sullied. We're left with hypothetic...

Re: Where's Geordie?

I totally agree, G.K.

It really feels like we're propping up Murphy.

The board pushed that his appointment was about 'stability' after the turbulence of changes around Cockers, Mauger and O'Connor, which I understand, but stability doesn't work if the guy you base it on is not successful.

Re: Where's Geordie?

It's becoming painful to watch a club legend's reputation suffer so badly. We've never been worse than we've been under Murphy's leadership. He somehow got the job permanently after 8 defeats in a row - the club's worst run in 43 years - and now there are rumours he may be promoted to DoR to make sp...

Re: Premiership Round 1 - Worcester vs Tigers

The most concerning thing for me is that for all the talk of change, resetting culture etc... Saturday's performance looked very similar to much of last season. Which was our worst ever.

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation

It's surprising and disappointing that the rugby press are making so little of this. Where are the journos holding Saracens and Premiership Rugby to account for resolving this? In PR's own words, the salary cap exists to "Ensure the financial viability of all clubs... and provide a level playin...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation

the truth will come out when everything is investigated properly Sadly, this is not the case. Look back at the last (alleged) significant breach in 2015.... Premiership Rugby has concluded an investigation into alleged salary-cap breaches by an unspecified number of clubs but is not revealing any d...

Re: PRC Round 4 - Tigers vs Saints

After the turnover of the squad, I've had the feeling that centre is our weakest position. Manu is the obvious stand-out. After that, we have a group of guys who haven't been first XV picks in their previous clubs and have something to prove to be that for us: Reid; Taute, and Eastmond... ... and so...

'Flexible' pricing

Not deterred by the baffling opacity of the national rail ticketing structure, Leicester Tigers are introducing a new 'flexible ticket structure'. The flexibility, of course, is with the club and not the supporter. If you have the benefit of knowing long in advance that you can attend a game then yo...

Re: New coaching structure?

This coaching structure would be a serious statement of intent by the club. Backs Coach left intentionally blank because we dont' appear to have that role in our current structure, aside from wrapping it up as part of Geordan's position. DoR: Mike Ford Head Coach: Geordan Murphy Forwards Coach: Stev...

Re: Tigers vs Bath

There are several questionable picks in that 23. It's appears based on sentiment, rather than thinking, 'What helps us arrive at Round #1 of next season in better shape?' I guess injuries limit the options but I'm not convinced that picking youngsters and losing (yet again) would have a hugely detri...
