Re: Transfers and Rumours Non-Tigers 2019-20

Got to be noted the only game Bristol won outside the international window in the prem was the first post world cup game against Exeter. So their league position is deceptive. At this time they do still look underpowered upfront as others have said and I would rather follow Tigers current recruitmen...

Re: Rob Taylor joins as Assistant Coach

A bit more information on Taylor's appointment and the link between the two clubs: https://www.sydneyunirugby.com.au/article/robert-taylor-to-depart-sufc-for-leicester-tigers Really like the thinking behind this appointment, as others have said it seems a part of his selection was due to his ability...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

If Guy's move to Ealing is confirmed, it puts his departure into perspective that he has not signed for a direct competitor. Really happy for him tho, he'll be a big player & presence for them. The interview from geordan this week gives me hope of an additional back row signing that just isn't being...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

Ratu Naulago was mentioned as a League winger looking at a move to Union in today's Rugby Paper. Played for sarries in the 7s last year, Exeter have been rumoured to be monitoring him and was previously playing 7s for the army. Looks exciting in attack and defence and a bit more rounded than some ot...

We announced a block of signings last Easter Monday. What odds on that happening again?

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

Brink should be the man slotting into 8. He's a big lump who likes to carry hard. He's played flanker at the Lions because Warren Whitely was at 8 and he's an outstanding player. I think I'm right in saying Brink moved to 8 last season whilst Whitely was injured and did well. I imagine we might keep...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

Sad news about Guy, but hard to argue with the club decision. Rugby paper have stated Moriarty is staying at dragons so won't be him joining, which I am relieved about as didn't seem value for money. With Guy and kalamafoni off we are losing more depth at 8, our signings in back row with Geordie hav...

Re: Youngs injured in pub brawl

About :censored: time they showed some spirit and fight. All too lacking last season. Sounds like they showed great discipline away from home in a hostile environment not to react and throw any punches in return. Furthermore great captaincy from Tom Youngs to calm tensions, leading from the front. G...

Re: Howard to mentor Murphy

Given the hospital pass geordan was given in taking the role I'm ok with the principal of Howard being a Henry/Venter style mentor. He can have no excuses this year though. Two things I hope we get an answer on from the club soon: 1. What are the 50 recommendations Howard made to the board as part o...

Lavinini was brutal, really high work rate and key to the jaguars line out. Also scored a key try. We have a gem there, looking forward to watching taufua in the next semi.

Re: Tigers v Saints

Going to be a belter! Tight 5 should have the upperhand but pretty even on paper. Really hoping to see Manu putting a big hit on naiyarovoro early. His communication with aspland-Robinson is going to be key in stopping him.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 6

Whilst I largely agree johnthegriff, a young player with his future in front of him, is going to find a club like Quinns a better bet for his playing career than Tigers at the moment. I know that this is a sad thing to say, but I can. Ompletely understand any player wanting to further career lookin...

Re: Mike Ford is on his way !!

If this is the case, I really hope it is a purely coaching role for Ford. I would not even have a problem with him taking full responsibility for the attacking and defensive structure of the team, he has the experience, which the rest of the coaching team lacks and his Bath team played some of the b...
