Re: New kit 21/22

Thanks Sam. I realised I haven’t actually touched one to know it’s bad quality just basing off a photo and comment so poor from me. To be fair I had a similar first impression when I saw them in the club shop at the Bath game. Looked fuzzy and slightly/almost like they were "out of focus". Unfortun...

Re: The Hundred X Rugby

Cobblers.

I don’t think it’s anything to do with World Rugby yet either, just the World12s brand itself.

How did our 2 former players get on?
Jordan had a couple of good runs but is still a slip of a player and more than once went backwards in contact.

At least one excellent take of the high ball under pressure though.

Re: Kit supplier question/observation

- Umbro is owned by Nike (didn’t know that) who let their smaller child brand get exposure through England. As stated earlier, Nike sold Umbro several years ago, hence the revival it is now having. Nothing to do with Nike anymore. Nike if I recall are VERY focussed on 3-4 key areas; Football, Baske...

Re: New kit 21/22

This is just pure speculation, but I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere down the line the tiger design on the mural and kits could become the new logo? Its far too complex to make a logo that would be printed/embroidered on kit Is it? It’s not too dissimilar to the Castleford Tigers badge. They man...

Re: New kit 21/22

As was mentioned in the press releases last season we are not going to get a traditional style kit anytime soon as those are being used for the DPD and Academy Which makes sense. Those kits are important to develop the ethos and remember the heritage of the club for the up and coming players. The p...

Away kit looks OK, quite interesting with the Tiger stripes. Home kit - underwhelmed.
Interesting Lightning bolt Tiger stripes!

Re: Formerly of this parish

Looks like Jake Kerr has signed for Bristol. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/57913626 Don't know where that leaves the other ex-Tiger Harry Thacker, who has had a torrid time of late with injuries. I think he’ll be fine for now. As we’ve seen ourselves, you need at least 4 very decent hooke...

Whilst on George Ford his absence is quite conspicuous from all the pre-season media. Hopefully just being given a longer break and will be back well before the season starts.
Wasn't there a picture of him holding a tacklebag?
Yep
Possibly makes sense if rehabbing a calf injury.

Re: George Ford

Farrell’s not exactly answering his critics on the Lions tour either by all accounts, Smith had a very good game today, Jones likes Farrell so Ford could be on the decline and with his father gone, not too sure what future holds for him, he no longer seems to attack the line and his first instinct ...

Re: Leicester Tigers women's team?

I think if Tigers were to apply for a Premier 15s franchise then Scarrett would be top of the target list amongst the professionals brought in from other “clubs”.

Re: Leicester Tigers women's team?

Brilliant. After what was done to Lichfield, I am sanguine about Tigers poaching a team. Unforgiven. Agreed, while I don't hold it against Loughborough and Wasps the way Lichfield was dismantled still leaves a bad taste True. I’m fairly sure the (University based) Loughborough brand just might not ...

Re: Leicester Tigers women's team?

Why the club dont actually announce their intentions/plans on this topic is another odd decision. I think they are organically trying to build the programme which means - at the moment - it's a fluid plan. Looking at the job spec - which I think backs that last statement up - it could easily end up...

Re: Tigers to host England A v Scotland A

Wonder if Louis Lynagh might end up in the revised squad after the weekend? Would he go against potentially playing for Australia though? Brought up here and played for England U20's, obviously Australia will have its draw for him but Eddie might act quick considering his rise in stock in the last ...

Re: Tigers to host England A v Scotland A

You forget just how young Dan Kelly is . He’s quite a specimen physically for his age and over the next couple of years If he develops his skill set he could be a real player for tigers and England . 12 is a position England have struggled with for some time . Obviously Farrell plays there and Manu...
