Re: Players won't leave

Sky covers about 3 games a season, with no highlights package. There will be practically zero TV coverage. As I said, I'll be surprised if sponsors don't have relegation clauses in their agreements. Most sponsorship agreements will have a clause relating to TV/audience/crowd exposure. If Tigers go ...

Re: Players won't leave

I have no doubt they will find a way to wriggle out, possibly by buying their way out. Would they want to? Why would they need to play in the Premiership next season? A Rugby World Cup year makes it a less black and white problem. The established stars will go to the RWC until, probably, about Dece...

Definitely do not want those flame throwers in front of the Holland & Barrett (nee CAT) Stand. They completely obscure the entry of the teams if your in the lower level which rather detracts from the occasion.
Have you fed that back to the club?

Re: What do you want on match day?

Personally, just a match. Maybe a beer or a cup of tea/coffee. I can manage without being “entertained” at every conceivable moment when the match isn’t being played.

Sadly not. The citing commissioner must have left her glasses at home.

The Chiefs have made it to the top without private ownership, no reason we can't again. We just need some of their vision and sensible squad investment.
But they have had huge support from a single family whose company is their main sponsor.

Re: Sale vs Tigers

Finally seen the red card. I think they are a bit hasty and completely ignore Beaumont doing the same thing to SK. No excuse, but let down by the TMO again. You wonder if he hadn’t gone down like he’d been shot they would have looked at all.

The Davies rumour isn’t a surprise. I’d imagine a lot of Scarlets’ and Ospreys’ agents will be doing their best to guarantee decent contracts for their players ASAP for next season.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 5

Are these really the signings G.M. was so excited about? :smt017 Depends what he's seen in these guys. Remember Guy Thompson was in a Jersey Reds side a season out of league 1 when Wasps signed him up. Holmes was on the wing at Yorkshire. Harry Williams at Nottingham when he was signed up by Exeter...

Still far better than it was 10 years ago.

(Although admittedly we’ve seen two new stands built since then and a 9000 seat increase in capacity!)

Re: Tigers v Wasps

A strong case has to be made for one of the given tries to have been disallowed - Eastmond was blocked which prevented a possible tackle on Watson. Would he have got to him? Don't know but a deliberate block is a block. It was a clever line jogged by Carr as he ran back, and he didn't change direct...

he won't be picked for England - its Italy so Harry Williams will get a start to see what he can do.
That post aged well.
Good to see DC with be gaining valuable international experience.

(Can't begrudge him the extra cash though!)

Re: Well done Joe Ford!!

I think after all the stick Joe Ford has recieved on here for the past couple of seasons he deserves a hearty thank you for his stint on Saturday. He has had the uneviable task of playing in a sticking plaster back line with a powder puff pack going backwards for most games he has played in so has ...

On the other hand, if a jumping unit and a thrower-in had communicated properly instead of panicking any question would have been irrelevant.
Panicking?

(And as a matter of detail, we don’t know the nuts and bolts of why the line out failed. Noisiest WR in several years probably didn’t help)
