Re: Relegation 20/21

Why, in your opinion, is the future of elite level club rugby necessarily and inextricably tied to the future of Salarycheats? Well, they are PRL shareholders. That’s probably quite an important factor. So were Leeds Carnegie, until they didn't come back up... Leeds sold their shares, didn’t they, ...

By the way, that's just an average punter wanting to see despicable acts punished accordingly (sentence is passed, but not yet served) and for the sport to look as if it wishes to rescue some integrity :smt005 where they are concerned. Their immediate re-admission to the premiership would not see t...

Re: Relegation 20/21

The other half of that question is promotion; if, as seems possible at this point, the Championship cannot be played this season, who would get promoted? If ring fencing happens I’d suggest two teams get promoted. If the Championship is hit by Covid in the 20/21 season, those two teams will probabl...

Is it bad I want Wasps to win?
It might burst some bubbles of entitlement if they do; those who believe Exeter should have been given Sarries’ titles, which was a ridiculous suggestion.

CMK is reffing! Terrible choice,he is awful!
He was the only official available, but now with the baa baas game off there is...
As you’d expect though, the Baa Baas referee wasn’t a Premiership referee.

Wayne Barnes out of the final after a positive test.
And it appears Craig Maxwell-Keys may get the final as all other Prem refs have international commitments!

Re: Wonder kids

Sadly for Ollie Smith he had to fight past Greenwood and Tindall when he first emerged, and by the time he was at the peak of his game Clive Woodward has moved on and subsequent England managements chose not to select him. What could have been was demonstrated by SCW selecting him as BOD’s understud...

Re: Now playing at Mattioli Woods Welford Rd

Been thinking about this today. Can anyone with a commercial background enlighten me as to how much naming rights would be worth to the club? Whilst financially we’re not in the same league as football, naming rights for football stadia can be astronomical. If, as rumoured, we’re bleeding 1MIL a mo...

I assume we will be wanting to get any pending signings announced in the next week or so in order to get them into the country for the resumption of training.
Though if looking at short term cover then the Championship might be a good place to look.

Can we take Itoje on a short term loan?

Re: England Training Squad announced

Any time Heyes gets to spend with the England team will aid his development. Funny because against Bristol I thought he showed glimpses of what he can do ball in hand and carried well. But also in that game he’s normally a good scrummager having taken some experienced scalps in the past but got tak...

Re: Predictions 20-21

I'm not into picking teams so won't bother :smt003 In terms of a Tigers "bolter" - maybe Steward :smt023 I think finishing in Euro Cup qualification should be the target for next season (is that above 8th?). Season after Top 6 or Top 4 at a stretch, with a view to semi final or even final the seaso...

Re: Thoughts on the "Captain's Collection"?

Are the retro sponsors - Next and Goldstar - chipping into the Club, or free advertising? (Is Goldstar still a thing?) Next are still a Tigers sponsor, not sure how much they'll have chipped in. Might just be a sweetner to keep them onside during the pandemic when cutting costs, particularly sponso...

Maybe the odd bench spot.
Steward and Heyes/Leatigaga may well be regular starters at the beginning of the season, along with White and Henry. Gigena too, probably.

They won’t have “the odd bench spot”, particularly with England having quite so many matches.
