Re: Championship Clubs Promotion

This club statement would suggest they do https://www.ealingtrailfinders.com/news/club-statement-rfu-minimum-standards A statement like that doesn't have to reflect the true feelings or ambitions of the ownership. That's just PR language that reinforces the victim narrative. See my post above. For ...

Re: Championship Clubs Promotion

Simple question. Do Ealing Trailfinders honestly want promotion? Compare their attendances to teams like Bedford, Coventry etc and it seems they don’t have a decent fan base: yes they have loyal fans but look at their website, it just doesn’t look like a club that is ready for promotion though if t...

Re: Championship Clubs Promotion

Just had a thought one of the problems with promotion for Champinship Clubs is ground size, not supporter size. In the past Prem Clubs have ground shared with Football Clubs I.e. Sarries London Irish Wasps London Welsh. Why has no one thought about Championship Clubs Ground Sharing with Prem Clubs ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Has our academy been the worse in terms of wing production? Looking at saints Slightholme, Freeman, Hendy all rapid, We just seem to struggle getting Wingers from academy to first team. Even Simmons wasn't a winger in age grade. Hopefully Satala and Kinder both live up to promise. I may be wrong bu...

Re: News story on concussion

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68713327 Football seems to be starting to have issues of their own on concussion. The research around heading and degenerative brain injury in football has been going on for some time but has lacked the traction as most of those affected have been long retired. ...

JVP snipes and he gives quick ball. Whitely tries but isn't at that level.
But to be fair, his salary probably isn't either.

Re: Over the cap (again)

For an example, here's regulation 3.8 and 3.9, which may be similar to the area the club was caught out in. Again, these are current regs but used as an indicator: Player Sponsorship 3.8. “Sponsorship Remuneration” is any Remuneration received by, procured for or due or promised to a Player or a Pla...

Mmm. I expect it was well-hidden, like that other club’s overspending…. Shedhead1 here: Lutontiger - I would be very interested to know which clubs beside Saracens and Tiggers you are talking about please? Can you back it up with evidence? Bob Hi Bob, Lutontiger said "that other club's..."...

Re: Saracens - Harlequins TMO

Well I'm glad they've "been caught", even if it has destroyed the integrity of the TMO process.

So, the big question. What other decisions have been avoided due to it "looking like the TV commentators have highlighted them"?

Re: TV Deal for Season 2024/2025

Something I haven't seen mentioned is the quality of the TNT pictures. I'm not an expert, but a sort of pixelation occurs and the overall resolution reminds me of the low quality European football matches on Sports Night in the 70s from places like Sparta Prague or Shakhtar Donetsk (older viewers m...

Re: TV Deal for Season 2024/2025

If you are on a mobile contract with EE you can get it for £20 per month too. My mobile contract is up at the start of next season and so that is a strong option. EE charges for EU roaming though if thats something you'd be bothered about. Personally I save more by the £12 per month or so on TNT th...

Ironic given their captains penchant for the knee level chop tackle (particularly if strapping is visible!)
