Re: Floody for Captain next year??
Parling's the man for me if he can escape from his wretched run of injury. I thought right from the start with the way he imediately fitted in to the Tigers way of doing business that he was a future captain. A year or so of adversity will have made him a stronger character and on his short-lived re...

Re: Falcons Sack Bates
Good manager who has had to put up with some rough treatment from the board. He's kept Newcastle up despite losing Wilson, McDonnell, Parling, Perry, Woods, Dowson, Dickson, Grindal, Wilkinson, Flood, Noon, Tait, May, Visser and Phillips over the last couple of years. I'd like to see a few of the o...

Re: Ben Youngs pass to Tuilagi
and that everyone, especially the Bath players, just stopped and watched the pass wating for the Ref to blow. ! What Bath players? There were not any of them any where near him!!! Persepctive, Bill. (Not yours, optically I mean). From my angle the foreshortening effect made it look to me as if Bath...

Re: Shut up! You're giving me earache!
Not only heard it, saw the hand gesture as Mr Davey pointed threateningly in the direction of the touchline!
BTW, shouldn't Claasens have been sin-binned after the penalty try as it was his hands in the Tigers scrum that caused it? Seemed like a professional foul to me.

Without wishing to appear disparaging, the times Bell got picked I don't think Engalnd had anyone else fit.

Re: Mauger
The knocking of Mauger really ticks me off. So circumstances prevented him from being a Tigers all-time-great; that's not entirely his fault. I feel for him having to retire from his chosen profession at such an early age through injury. And such an injury must have been debilitating for some time. ...

Re: Ben Youngs pass to Tuilagi
I thought AT had his best game for a while; seemed like a constant threat whereas up to now he's been a yard off the pace or not quite picking his lines. Oh, except for when he mullered John Rudd the other week. I can state quite categorically what I thought happened for his try. Like other posters ...

Re: Stephen Jones to Leicester???
Setting aside the salary cap and who might be displaced for the moment, I think Jones would be a good fit for us. He's our kind of 10: controls a game, kicks well tactically, defends well (better than he used to) and spots a chance. He'd go well with Ben Youngs and with Toby at 12.

Best of luck Mefin. You've done us proud; especially this season.

Re: Lewis Moody - not offered a new deal
I live in the SW of England. Ever since I read the news on Friday I've been telling work colleagues and neighbours that its not unusual for great professionals towards the end of their career to seek a new challenge by helping to bring on and develop a smaller club! Childish I know; but made me feel...

Re: Italy-Scotland
I thought this was a really interesting game. Italy seem to have really woken up this season; well, at home anyway. Mallet seems to be doing a good job and he's finally found a back line that offers a threat. The forwards were what we expected them to be and the back row so good that they didn't mis...

Re: Naughty Ospreys being investigated
Wow Steve I'm really scared. Not. And I would happily debate the issues with someone rational. I would however prefer someone rational and not someone who uses terms like terrorist in relation to a discussion about a game and its governance. :smt046 Tell me? What was rational regarding the drivel y...

Re: State of the pitch
Charles, Mate, what's these "mm" things? Honestly, can any of you picture the difference between 22 and 34 of them? Or am I just showing my age? Or would Charles be prosecuted under EU legislation if he gave out public information in Imperial units? Only kidding; thanks for answering. By t...
