Re: Queens unhappy over fans selling tickets

Tigers are not immune to this happening either. I remember one QF at WR vs Munster where some ST ticktes ended up in the hands of Munster fans (via ebay etc) and some Tigers STHs/members were later identified as having sold for profit and were stripped of their season tickets by the club. Granted, s...

Re: Bans

Banning someone for a particular tournament wouldn't be workable in reality I don't think. For a start, why did you group all International matches together yet separately identify Premiership/LV/Euro tournaments? Should a ban in a 6N match only ban the player from future 6N games? What would happen...

Re: Salary cap? What salary cap?

The auditors who audit the salary cap are different to the auditors who do the statutory audits of the various clubs. The latter are appointed by the clubs themselves, the former are appointed by PRL and they both look at different sources of information for their different audit requirements. The s...

Re: RFU reveal new EPS agreement

Are you sure that Tigers actually vote against the EPS agreement? Afterall, the IRB regs allow Unions to call on players without the need to offer compensation. The EPS agreement allows the RFU to call on players outside International windows for training sessions & rest periods in return for co...

Re: Salary cap? What salary cap?

I would suggest that the auditor would be more likely to notice the incredibly low sponsorship cost that the club has received rather than the relatively low salary of a player. Out of interest do the clubs have to give details of how much individual players are paid? Or just the collective? Copies...

Re: RFU reveal new EPS agreement

And then club Z get the added benefit of playing their non-internationally weakened first team against internationally weakened sides from club X & club Y during international periods. Exactly. But the point is that it isn't the RFU's fault on this occasion. Blame for the unfair "reward&qu...

Re: RFU reveal new EPS agreement

As Bill says, the even distribution of EPS money is down to PRL, not RFU. RFU do actually pay each club for the number of players they provide to the EPS but then PRL give the other clubs payments to even out the RFU's EPS monies. i.e. If RFU give club X six payments for having six players in the EP...

Re: Castle Grim to be dropped for RWC2015?

People seem to be ignoring the fact that the WR pitch is too small (length & width) for the RWC matches, the changing rooms are (significantly) below international size & standard and press facilities are inadequate for such a high profile global tournament. The reason WR has been "snub...

Re: Annual AGM

As ian23 suggests, "the basic facts" are in the accounts and all of the required disclosures are presented there. A public company is not required to identify individually who the money is paid to and in what proportions. Making assumptions when reading a company's statutory financial stat...

I'd assume it was topping up DC's pension pot upon his retirement as compensation for loss of office under the terms of his contract.

Re: Six nations Ballot

On the flip side, not all of the members apply for tickets and of course you have to be in it to win it so for the cost of a stamp it is worth a try if you want tickets and wouldn't be able to get them any other way. However the admin charge PER TICKET that Tigers charge is excessive in my opinion. ...

Re: Rugby League World Cup Final

1. The RFU don't determine the KO time of Premiership games. They are set by the Prem clubs themselves in agreement with PRL, local police, TV broadcasters etc. Don't expect Tigers to change any KOs to avoid clashing with the RL World Cup Final. 2. I wouldn't like to say what time the Final KO will ...

Re: Six nations Ballot

I can tell you that the ratio of available tickets to STHs is not good! A chunk of the club's allocated International tickets go straight to Tigers Events to be used by the club for "official" hospitality packages...and the club's allocation isn't exactly huge in the first place as each cl...

Re: Two matches in Leicester on Saturday

Its very annoying as LCFC have rarely had to change their games over the years. :smt013 The football & rugby clubs take it in turns to move their KOs if there is a clash. Therefore City will have moved pretty much the same number of games as Tigers will have done over the last few seasons. (Thi...

Re: neil back

Tigers used to have the no.7 wearing H & the no.8 wearing G as the letters went across the back row in positional, not numerical order.

ie F-G-H for 6-8-7.

Hence why Backy used to wear H, not G.

This was repeated vs Maori when Julian Salvi 9at 7) wore H while Jordan Crane (at 8) wore G.
