Re: Seeing a Tigers shirt when you don't expect it.

I used to wear my Tigers shirts in Worthing. Always had one on when I was in town to watch the internationals between 97 and 2003.
Not been back there since then though, so not guilty of jaywalking.

Re: Geoff Parling on Planet Rugby

I liked part of that article: England's successful campaign of four victories from five games was above and beyond the expectations many had set the young and new-look side, as the coaching trio of Stuart Lancaster, Graham Rowntree and Andy Farrell complimented each other superbly. Farrell to Rowntr...

Re: Words that should exist

I'm fed up of being either overwhelmed or underwhelmed. Why can't I just be whelmed occasionally?

Re: Cockers dumps on Gosforth

Newcastle should be happy that they've got Tait in there now. He's similar to Cockers in being very, very straight talking.
Newcastle suffered from being in thrall of Jonny I think.

Hardly fair, Austin would win everything.

Re: Twickenham entertainment

Ref Curry house: I can't remember the name of it but there's a good one just up the road from The Cabbage Patch (same side) - it's the first one you come to after CP when walking into town (i.e. away from the ground/station). Always managed to get in there after a game and food has always been good ...

Re: Tigers Merchandise

I got a shed load of Tigers vouchers from my friends for my birthday last year, I struggled to spend them all in the shop because of all the drab stuff. Don't get me wrong, the stuff I bought I love and wear all the time (as will my daughter when she grows into her baby gear), but I would have liked...

Re: Rich Hall at the Athena tonight (27 Oct)

I saw Rich Hall in Reading a few years ago. Very funny man. Funniest line of the night though came from his (enormous mountie type) Canadian support bloke. Talking about how Canadians are referred to as moose-botherers (botherers obviously being a substitute word here for one a bit shorter, beginnin...

Re: MPs' expenses. How would we like it?

Honestly, I have a certain amount of sympathy for them, but not too much considering; 1. You, me and everyone else presumably have to submit expense claims for every penny with receipts, rather than being able to say 'oh I spent about £200 on food and stuff last month, where's my cheque?' 2. We have...

Re: Bar Service all messed up

How about getting some of those chaps (or nice ladies) wandering around with the mini-kegs on their backs? It works at The Stoop and Twickers. It's generally rubbish lager, but at least it's cold and fizzy as intended.

Re: Should have got a Stade Francais shirt!!

The light blue one is actually the second favourite in my Tigers collection after the 'proper' striped shirt that we had up to (forgive me for not being exact) late 90s/early 00s. My missus likes it too and it's XL girth has been keeping her expanding baby bump covered and warm lately. So three vote...
