Borthwick sacked : Jones back (Ruck.co.uk)!

Ruck.co.uk - “To catch all the important fixtures of the 2023 Rugby World Cup, England fans will have to stay up late and head to the pub. This is because several group matches, including two of Eddie Jones’ men’s four pool fixtures, will have late evening kickoffs.” www.ruck.co.uk/rugby-world-cup-k...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2022/23 - Prisoner of Oadby Pre-Season

Interesting wording on the Facebook post ‘We are excited to confirm 4 of the additions to the #TigersFamily from next season!’ Implies there’s more to come - ‘4 of the 5 / 6 / 7….additions’.

Re: Next England Head Coach (Pre World Cup)

Disgusted in the RFU that there is nothing I’ve seen in their statements that thanks Tigers for agreeing to release Steve & Kev.

Re: Next England Head Coach (Pre World Cup)

Well done Tigers. Announcing 15 minutes before the RFU, as Tigers held all of the cards. Thanks & good luck Steve & Sir Kev. Onwards and upwards with Richard. Fans need to make it count on Saturday.

Re: Wasps in the mire - now in administration

Disgusting if it is true that Wasps’ £14.1m Covid Sport Survival Package (SSP) loan from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) is not going to be repaid. Especially as other clubs will be paying theirs back over the coming years. Surely they should not be allowed back into the ...

‘BBC Coventry & Warwickshire understand the prospective takeover does not include the Coventry Building Society Arena.’ - Is this an indication they are not staying in Coventry?

Re: Worcester’s woes

I wonder if the suspension for the remainder of the season is to allow fixtures to be rehashed, given 2 teams are currently not playing each round. Gives Tigers a chance to play someone else on 5th November and not have 2 consecutive bye rounds.

Of all teams, they are due to play away at Gloucester this weekend! Very sad situation.

Re: England Squad - Autumn Internationals

Tigers are Chessum, Heyes, Porter, Steward, JVP and Youngs. Article on Sky says it’s happening this weekend, so does that mean players are not available for the Sarries game. RFU site says “The squad will meet in Richmond on Sunday 2 October and train at Twickenham Stadium.” Presumably means they w...

Re: Worrying attendances

Did I read it right its £17 for Tuesday night at Welford Road. Its free with your season ticket. Doesn't help if you dont have one, just seems steep if you were looking for a walk up on a Tuesday evening It was £27 at Sale on Tuesday & that was an Under 30s ticket. £42 for an adult ticket in th...

Re: Tigers v Northampton (A) - 24th September 2022 - 3-00pm

Matchday Wrap-up says only 2 penalties conceded (I was out & have not watched the game yet). Must be a record for us in the league. Remarkable considering it was a local derby. The team & coaching team deserve massive credit.

Mail on Sunday article

Interesting article in the Mail on Sunday. Reporting Tigers had a tax debt of £8.4 million & overall debts of £31.4 million. Somewhat out of date as it says they’ve used accounts to end of June 2021. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/article-11177209/Premiership-clubs-rack-500MILLION-...

Re: Worcester’s woes

Desperately don’t want to see Worcester or Wasps go but it’s completely unfair on all the other clubs (& every other business) if they get away with not paying taxes and continue as is. According to Premiership Rugby site Worcester’s attendance figures for last season totalled 83,817 which if av...
