I mean you take the first 40 minutes against Saints and 70 minutes today and we look good, especially when it comes to shutting down other teams. Positives I thought Kelly at 12 probably had his best game of the season. Martin too was massive and the best carrier on the pitch. Chessum too very good....

We are a much more balanced side when he plays at 12.

He’s really good at secondary receiver too which just means the whole backline looks so much better.

You have to hope that the new attack coach will fix many of the issues we’ve had this season. We’ve had one of the best defences this season, along with a good scrum and lineout. But we’re in bottom two of attacks this season with the least line breaks - even Gloucester have a better attack than us....

It is a failure of the system that cannot find game time for players beyond the age of eighteen. Obviously young players need games to continue development and equally obviously they have to be ready to move on to create space for the next year group.
