Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

Is Manz a realistic option at 6? Genuinely I don't know I just got the impression he was quite a bit unit and a specialist lock. Yeah he’s a lock primarily but can cover 6. Just pointing out that even in the PRC next season, Tomiwa probably would struggle for minutes on the pitch. Perhaps. Chessum ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

Let’s hope that’s the case. Aren’t we rumoured to be signing Odiase. Couldn’t blame Tomiwa for wanting to leave as even in the PRC he’d struggle for game time. 6. Ilione, Manz 7. Odiase, Illione 8. Jansen, Ilione Is Manz a realistic option at 6? Genuinely I don't know I just got the impression he w...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

Tomiwa Agbongbon has posted a highlights reel on his Instagram, a sign that he's off? I’m not sure, he’s liked a few comments that say things along the lines of “looking forward to seeing you more in the Tigers 6 shirt next season”. Not sure he’d like them if he was off? Could just be me, but I thi...

Re: England Squad for down under

Good squad that - congrats on JVP, fully deserved. Only player who may feel a little hard done by is Earl who’s been smashing it this season.

Could have
6, Martin
7. Cracknell
8. Hanro

Bench: Ilione
Cracknell whilst mainly a 6 did play a fair bit of openside for Ospreys. Liebenberg has covered 7 too for us in the past. Still a cracking backrow that.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

We know Reffell is in contract next season. We’d all love him to play his career at Tigers. But we have to be honest, if he gets rightly called up to Wales for their summer tour, the chances of him leaving in 2023 are pretty high.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

One of the main precursors to success as shown by Sarries and Exeter is having a settled squad fed by the academy. I think all things considered we’re building nicely and glad to see we’ve moved away from the constant churn every season. Just fingers crossed Moroni stays and I think everyone will be...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Aled Walters and the Philosopher's Stone

When we signed Lancaster I was impressed as he’d put in some good shifts with Eng U20. But I’ll be honest every time I’ve seen him in a Tigers shirt he’s been poor. So can’t say I’m surprised we’re looking at other options.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Aled Walters and the Philosopher's Stone

When I first saw Simmons and White I thought Simmons was the better player .. and then he got injured.. JVP came through behind them and White disappeared.. fast forward a couple of years White has had a great season for London Irish and made a very good fist of being a back up to Lions scrum half ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Aled Walters and the Philosopher's Stone

We need one of the second rows to call the line-out. I know Green does this when he's in the starting XV - not sure if Chessum or Martin have taken on that responsibility in a match before? Henderson definitely has. Think Chessum has too, think the PRC when Chessum was partnered with Scott Hall fro...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Aled Walters and the Philosopher's Stone

Agree with RB, think Chessum and Martin should be the starting locks next season. Both have been in and around the Eng squad and will only get better. Wells and Snyman have more than shown too they can dominate in a well drilled pack. Green will be invaluable experience too. Henderson is maybe a bit...

I can imagine when the signings are announced - rumoured to be imminent this week. There may be one or two players no one has mentioned yet or which has been leaked.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Aled Walters and the Philosopher's Stone

Losing 2/3 of our best carriers will obviously change how we play next season. I was worried especially with Nadolo going in the backs that we might struggle. But we won yesterday and I’d imagine we won’t see him starting against Leinster. Next season Montoya is a beast too ball in hand. Snyman, Mar...
