Re: Tigers v Bristol (H) - Premiership - Saturday 27th April 2024 - KO: 15-00

I hope we do show some pragmatism for once in selection this season and give some younger players a go. Doesn’t necessarily mean we have to put out a weakened team - but it gives invaluable experience to those that might be mainstays in the future. Assuming Martin isn’t fit I’d go for. Whitecombe Mo...

Also I think it would be fair to say Saints like Bath have managed to hoover up some very talented players with the likes of LI and Worcester going. Langdon, Haffar, Munga, Pearson, Odendall have all added quality and depth where needed. Plus Davison who I think was a very astute signing and they’ve...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Hate to agree but you’re right about Rogerson and Cracknell. Both are great squad players and I rate both of them. Probably Cracknell slightly higher but having both in the squad really is overkill. Especially when we’ve got some good young players who’ll want game time. Carnduff at 6 and Illione at...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

I do wonder long term if we look to bring Cam Jordan back. Maybe a long term replacement for Wells or perhaps if Henderson moved up north. Last 2 games against Gloucester thought he did really well against us. Showed some good physicality. Henderson just signed a new contract. Don’t think we need a...

Re: Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05

I’ve never really understood the Tiger’s DNA talk, or when you hear about it in the media it’s massively misunderstood. The best ever Tigers team 01/02 yes had an amazing forward pack, strong set piece etc. But we played an all round 15 man game with the likes of Healey, Howard, Lloyd, Murphy in the...

Re: Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05

I do think from an England perspective Langdon looked quality. He’d really add something off the bench ball in hand. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see Saints not win it this year. We showed if you target them at the breakdown then you can get some change. Could see them coming unstuck against Sara...

Re: Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05

We were not as bad as people are making out. We went in at HT winning and looked good in parts - especially the forwards. Although scrum was worrying. Discipline was a massive issue. Cost us the game alongside poor finishing. Kata needs to trust the players around him and not rush out / high tackle....

Officials have had a good game IMHO. It wasn’t the ref that butchered walk in tries.
Agreed. One of those ones which could’ve gone either way but you can’t really argue if a red is given.

Say all you want back the back 3, with Simmons, Watson and Bassett injured there ain’t many options available.

He’s never looked 100% since coming back from injury. Hopefully preseason sorts him out.

Deserved, we’re giving penalties away every couple of minutes at this rate!

We’re making a meal of some basics here. Should be up another 7 points but giving stupid penalties away. Other than that playing well.
