Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!
Wouldn’t be too shabby but also wouldn’t be overly great! Look at Sarries, Itoje, Kruis, Isikwe, Skelton and Day, head and shoulders above our options. Same with Saints and Bath options at locks. We could look to build around Barrow and Wells who have growth to improve, but Kitchener and Fitzgerald ...

Re: London Irish v Tigers
What were the commentators saying on BT Sport, Lewington so far has one of the worst defence stats in the premiership, missing 11 tackles! Yeah he sometimes looks good going forwards, but lacks an all round game that Thompstone has. Same with Steele, nowhere near White. He has been tearing it up in ...

Re: London Irish v Tigers
Maybe not wholesale changes, but considering Mapapalangi and Pakalani are international players, they should be brought in for some game time!

Re: London Irish v Tigers
Definitely thinks Evans needs to start this one, he deserves a start in the premiership to show what he can do! Based on the Mercury article, I would pick Bateman McGuigan Cole Wells, Barrow Hamilton Mapapalangi Evans Harrison J Ford Toomua Smith May, Tait, Pakalani Bateman, Youngs, Cilliers, Willia...

Re: Tigers v Chiefs
For a man who has just turned 23 Wells has been exceptional! His tackle and turnover on their winger showed great technique! Pity the same can't be said about Barrow. Get the feeling that when Kitchener and Fitzgerald are fit that they will come back into the side instead of him. He needs to step on...

Re: Tigers Vs Gloucester
Agree with the above, given the lack of quality no.8s in the market to get, I've no doubt that Kalamafoni will prove to Ben a shrewd signing. As the season goes on he will improve with ball in hand. Furthermore, with Hamilton and Williams playing in the same pack, it will take some of the pressure o...

Surely a replacement for Slater and Fitzgerald must be coming in! A big no.4 and a leader in the pack!

Re: A comparison
Would like to see Williams given the no.4 shirt. Barrow can go to no.5 and call the line out which he did for England age groups. Should bring some much neede power back

Re: A comparison
Good observation, I think we definitely have the players, but something is lacking at the moment. Still could do with strengthening at lock and maybe a fullback with a better tactical kicking and defensive game than Veainu! If you look at Sarries, they have 5 international locks and none of ours mak...

Re: Leicester Tigers 2017/18 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread!
Are any new signings going to be announced today?
Look at other clubs we are seriously lacking in the lock department.

Re: Tigers Vs Gloucester
I think some people are being a bit harsh on Kalamafoni. He hardly played last year so it's going to take time for him to get up to speed. I think if Williams and Hamilton started alongside him it would take some of the pressure and markers off him. Every time he got the ball he went forwards with a...

Re: Tigers Vs Gloucester
I would definitely go with a massive pack and try to attack them in the backs
Genge, Thacker, Cole
Wells, Barrow
Williams, Kalamafoni, Hamilton
Youngs, Ford (C)
Toomua, Owens
May, Veainu, Brady
McGuigan, Bateman, Mulipola, Kitchener, Mapapalangi, Harrison, Smith, Tait
Genge, Thacker, Cole
Wells, Barrow
Williams, Kalamafoni, Hamilton
Youngs, Ford (C)

May, Veainu, Brady

Re: Saints Away
Feel like it's the front 5 that need to front up, bar Genge! A lot was bigged up about Barrow pre season but so far him and Kitchener have offered nothing going forwards or in defence! Would like to see again the backrow that was put out against the Ospreys in Williams Hamilton and Kalamafoni. Would...
