Interesting selection of Carnduff do tiger see him long term as a 2nd row. Really hope to see both him and Ilione get good minutes in this game.

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022

Quite possible. Tuilagi is at the stage where he is going to have to take the highest available offer. Farrell reportedly on around £800k at Saracens, can’t see any club paying that for a 32 year old. He’ll still be on good money though I thought I’d seen a tweet some where stating Farrell as £625,...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022

Rugby Pass reporting that Farrell and Tuilagi both taking a pay CUT to play in France. Quite possible. Tuilagi is at the stage where he is going to have to take the highest available offer. https://www.rugbypass.com/news/diamond-demands-law-change-while-accusing-tigers-of-illegal-activity/ I see Mr Diamond is trying to suggest things to the referee already... If you can't coach a team to defend the rolling maul, why not just get the ref to ping them on it... At least we know what's wo...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

I do agree, and i do normally default to the position of the coaches see more of them then i do. However IMO there are 3 that we have seen glimpses of at first team level and have impressed, yet not being rewarded with further first team action. At that point, it is transcending from trusting the c...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

People talk about Borthwick bringing through young players and McKellar not. It's really not that simple - when Borthwick was here there were a few really good youngsters emerging. Steward, JvP, O Chessum, Martin, Reffell, Heyes. 4 or 5 of those are now bordering on world class. The current crop of...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

I think our squad overall is looking pretty for next season, though i do think a couple more signings will get us to where we need to be. I just think if we get the attack coach situation sorted, then that will drive the biggest improvements for us. We have lost two games we should have won - Quins...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45

Hoping to get up there for the game as my brothers just moved up there. So selfishly hope mckellar experiments with a mixture of experience and youth, and just tells them to play. So I’ve put in as many different ball carriers as I can to stop weise getting marked out the game like last week. Whitco...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

I've been saying this for a while now. My preference as soon as Wiese said he was going was to find a nasty lock/6 hybird type player that sale do really well with finding. (Largely because Wiese is pretty much impossible to replace like for like) He will always give his all, but the drop from Mart...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

I know it didn't go down too well on here when i suggested it last time, but i do stand by thinking that we need to look at upgrading Harry Wells. I appreciate he is a good club man, but the last 2 games against Gloucester he was completely ineffective. Tbh i'd say the same about the Ealing game as...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester (H) - Premiership - Friday 22nd March 2024 - KO:19.45

We would have won if Shilcock hadn’ t come in too fast and missed two tackles that led to two of their tries. Seems a lot of blame being put on shilcock, he wasn’t great but who was, I personally thought for Harris try Raffell had come up way to fast living everyone behind and in order to try and t...

In terms of signings my personal preference would be 5 more I don't think we will get it though. Van Wyk, Richardson, Carter, Rogerson, Cracknell, Wiese, Wilkinson, Scott, Porter (I hope not), Watson - Out Smith, Beets, Perese, TH Lock, Back Rower, Fly Half, Centre, Wing = In (Hear me out but maybe...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester (H) - Premiership - Friday 22nd March 2024 - KO:19.45

To be honest with you I could except not making the to 4 we’ve had a completely new coaching team. I could except losing matches like tonight, if there where any signs of change of style of play , but there’s not it’s still, just kick, kick and kicks some more. If we were bring through young players...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester (H) - Premiership - Friday 22nd March 2024 - KO:19.45

When I saw the team I thought we’d dominate up front, but unfortunately I think playing Cole, chissem and raffell was a mistake they looked tiered and no where up to their level which meant we looked short in the forwards. Left weise carrying one out every time running into 3 men with no other ball ...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester (H) - Premiership - Friday 22nd March 2024 - KO:19.45

Can’t see use playing Cole, chessum or raffell on the back of a 6 day turn around having played every round of the 6 nations as much as we need them. Could see Martin on the bench maybe but he put in a massive shift against Ireland and no doubt will do the same this week, and I think will have to mu...
