Re: Champions' Cup Quarter finals 2024

Great to see two English sides in the semi finals but I don’t think they will progress any further, Toulouse and Leinster will be far to strong for them, should be a great final if those two get to the final. Leinster are in South Africa for the next two weeks. Saints have to travel up the A50. Pre...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

It's not really 12 leavers though is it Joe Powell, Ben Woolett, Mike Williams all short term signings Atkinson moving was basically helping to accommodate for Brown's new contract So that's 4 players off the list of leavers that can't really be accommodated for Makes it more like 8 players leaving...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

This is personal opinion, but i think we will only see a centre coming in for sure, as that is the major hole there. TH i think will be covered by Tim Hoyt, which as 4th choice i am comfortable with. The only question is whether another lock or back row comes in. Personally the answer to that is wh...

Sorry do you mean Lewington
Yeah I did I’ve edited it now, I don’t even know how I didn’t spot that

Re: Other European games - 05-07th April 2024

Leinster clearly a good side...but sheer power can negate ability as we have observed with Leinster in the last couple of seasons or so. French brute force mixed with not inconsiderable skill and game plan to suit will triumph....In my opinion Can’t help but feel Leinster have a clear advantage in ...

Has our academy been the worse in terms of wing production? Looking at saints Slightholme, Freeman, Hendy all rapid, We just seem to struggle getting Wingers from academy to first team. Even Simmons wasn't a winger in age grade. Hopefully Satala and Kinder both live up to promise. I may be wrong bu...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Random thought. If Billy V is moving to Montpellier would it be worth a quiet chat with Sam Simmonds to see if he fancied an England return. Not everyone cup of tea I know but prolific try scorer and invariably gets over the game line I think I mentioned Simmons when billy was announced, as I thoug...

I personally feel that's reading too much into things. Pollard played perfectly fine last season with Kelly at 12. Just Kelly has had a stinker year so far. Pollard was just as good as Ford last season SA are like that because that's how their teams generally like their backs, it's not really got m...

I'd really like to see Steward tried at centre. He profiles as a completely different player to what many coaches are shifting to at 15. The top international fullbacks increasingly have kicking and passing games closer to what 10s offer. I think that Freddie's ability to make yards through contact...

Re: Leinster mind games begin? - Champions Cup (A) - Saturday 06th April 2024 - KO:8:00pm

Can’t believe the amount of complaints about the ref by lots of posters on here, he wasn’t at his best as usually he is a top official, we all have bad games and today he made refereeing mistakes against both side but in no way did he favour any one side. We lost not because of the referee but beca...

Unfortunately looks like the games gone but so much better today, attack a lot better, if trying to push it but I happy for them to try this here against a team knowone gives us a chance in. Great to see us look a bit unfortunately again team that play together full time any mistakes punished. Agai...

Interesting selection of Carnduff do tiger see him long term as a 2nd row. Really hope to see both him and Ilione get good minutes in this game.

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022

Quite possible. Tuilagi is at the stage where he is going to have to take the highest available offer. Farrell reportedly on around £800k at Saracens, can’t see any club paying that for a 32 year old. He’ll still be on good money though I thought I’d seen a tweet some where stating Farrell as £625,...
