Re: Tigers vs Gloucester (H) - Premiership - Friday 22nd March 2024 - KO:19.45

Can’t see use playing Cole, chessum or raffell on the back of a 6 day turn around having played every round of the 6 nations as much as we need them. Could see Martin on the bench maybe but he put in a massive shift against Ireland and no doubt will do the same this week, and I think will have to mu...

Re: Tigers v Gloucester - Premiership Cup Final - Friday 15th March 2024 - KO:7-45pm

Watched the whole game on the box so it is not as good as being there but I really could not see the reasons for the yellows. The ref did say enough penalties very quietly but did not make it clear that the next offence would be yellow as most refs would have done. I have looked long and hard about...

Re: Tigers v Gloucester - Premiership Cup Final - Friday 15th March 2024 - KO:7-45pm

Harhwrall, Rogerson, Hanro, Cracknall are all very similar players but Hanro is by far the best and most effective so has to play as much as possible. Playing 3 of them in the same team just doesn’t work IMO and we looked more balanced when Ilione came on and Cracknall also made a difference. Your ...

Re: Tigers v Gloucester - Premiership Cup Final - Friday 15th March 2024 - KO:7-45pm

Glos fans around us were furious with their 9 & 10 in the first half, so much kicking. We handed that to Gloucester no question, discipline killed us and gave them a lift. Even after going so far behind we had driving lineout chances, but coughed the ball up. Agree about comments on Kelly, what...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat

Does anyone know if the boy playing tomorrow including Tommy are available next Friday, with just the 6 day turn around. As realistically if no will the forwards be much different next week with just the addition of Montoya and weise.

Re: Tigers v Gloucester - Premiership Cup Final - Friday 15th March 2024 - KO:7-45pm

Poor performance all round. But the few positives thought cokanasiga look a threat ball in hand and the most like to spark something. (Pollard needs a ball carrying 12.) ilione looked a threat over the ball.( have to have a jackaling 7) shillcock looked a safe set of hands and strong has to be given...

Yes the refs poor and has got them back into the game. But back to 5 years ago we’ve fallen apart, no idea in attack we’ve look tired dispite 7 weeks off. Hopefully the players coming back in can turn this around otherwise it’s going to be a long run in to the end of the season.

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat

I agree the issue isn’t with Furbank it’s more with Daly and now to a certain extent Manu being picked ahead of Steward, at the very least on the bench. Furbank is a better footballer than Steward no doubt, but I’m not sure I agree he’s done that much in 2 games. For Lawrence try as I mentioned the...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat

Given the obvious change in mindset I’m not sure he did. Freddie would have run Lowe’s kick back and easily scored the try. You have to weigh positive attack against defensive frailties. I think the selection was spot on and you could say that Furbank contributed to the win. Consistency is the key ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

Really happy we're keeping hold of Simmonds. Not so pleased Cronin. He's 33 and his scrum work is fading in effectiveness. Got to hope that deal is a significant reduction because he's not a likely starter and probably should be third choice if we can bring in a good loosehead. Andrea said yesterda...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

I'm massively sold on this if I'm honest. West, Whitcombe and Ellof would be a pretty solid trio of LH's with Van Der Flier and Miell in the background coming through. Is West a premiership starter? I remember him when he was here and he was a great addition to the squad and did well when he played...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

https://twitter.com/Saracens/status/1765346601965391925?t=Hp9L_rVqFMX19uhpWFgElw&s=19 Saracens announce their 2nd Loosehead signing in a couple of days plus also announced Mawi a contract extension... Surely that means West (and Vunipola) is up for grabs? I would take West if we had the opportu...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

Regrettably Watson is Manu mark 2. Great when available but not available enough. I suspect that like Manu he doesn't come cheap either. In these days of financial difficulties can we really afford to keep him? I think signing him was a risk worth taking as he is world class when fit, unfortunately...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

Certainly hope that the communication issues are raised when Andrea talks to the Rolling Maul Podcast today. Really seeing that as an opportunity to get some answers for the supporters. I really do feel like we need some good news and some good promotion to kick start the interest in the season aga...
