Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

It’s been advertised cos they have someone in mind who doesn’t have a work permit. So they’ll show those who applied and say this person is so much better than Trevor from Fitness First that applied, you’ve got to give him a visa.

Another Aussie inbound is my bet.

Re: Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05

I said nothing for fear of being called miserable but I thought the coaches beneath DMK were not top notch when they were announced - ie Dickens and the fitness guy. I know it’s hard to compare with Aled, but he’s so far off and we similarly look so far off. I also feel we recruited poorly when the ...

Ignoring all the detail and whatever, it’s just quite boring watching Tigers atm. I buy a season ticket despite living abroad and never attending matches. I just want to provide financial support. However, I do it in the context of wanting a thriving and exciting team. We are a long way off that cur...

“Walters definitely, Sinfield, really don’t think so, he has been pushed aside at England. SB ran everything, as a great leader does….” No great leader runs everything and there has been a distinct improvement in England performance as soon as SB has increased the capability of his coaching team wit...

Be very tempting to play a mix n match side for Leinster game and focus on the Prem. Tough one for the coach. Pick a full strength team. Get hosed. Pick up a couple of injuries. Weakened for Saints game.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

Based solely on appearances you could easily let go Porter, Watson, Dolly and see zero impact. Now ofc it’s a bit simplistic as others could be injured next season and they could be fine. The message from Andrea and others is that we don’t need the same size of squad any longer due to 10 game prem a...

Re: Tigers v Quins (A) - Premiership - Friday 26th January 2024 - KO- 19:45

We’ve won 6 of our last 7 Premiership matches. At start of Nov we lost to Quins n Sarries back to back. We’ve just beaten them back to back. We’ve just beaten the 2nd team in the league away - despite our pack being seriously weakened. Our 4th choice tight head made his premiership debut and did an ...

We deserve to lose this. The kicking by some of the backs in attacking positions is difficult to understand.

Some of the mistakes are diabolical. Kelly really isn’t in form. Cronin. I mean really.

Only one thing more enjoyable than people being upset about the lack of clarity on the academy, is people arguing about whether people have the right to be upset about the lack of clarity.

Re: Rugby World Cup warm up games

A very poor quality game played with minimal intensity. One can only hope things improve when it gets serious. Hope JVP is fit enough to travel. I did think he was poor whilst on the pitch. Itoje showing some green shoots and Earl improved throughout the game. With Ford at 10, it all seemed to chang...

When is the coaching set up going to be finalised and announced? I am keen to see quantity and quality. Key learning of last 3 years versus the previous fallow period is that multiple high quality coaches are required for success.

Big shame to lose Tom West. Cronin is great. Van Wyk is a 3rd / 4th choice and Whitcombe seems not to be fully trusted by management tho he’s always looked decent to me. Either way with one or 2 injuries, we could end up having to start with Van Wyk.
