Re: Tigers v Bristol (H) - Premiership - Saturday 27th April 2024 - KO: 15-00

Please will all those that play rugby or have ever played rugby or for that matter any other contact team sport that honestly cannot recall doing anything in a match that on reflection they regret p!ease hold up their hands. A young man kicked a ball when possibly be should have held on to it or pa...

All I can do today to reflect on the season, and particularly yesterday, is quote Charles Dickens...it is as if he was there in the crowd: "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch...

Re: Tigers v Bristol (H) - Premiership - Saturday 27th April 2024 - KO: 15-00

What was better? Handling - fewer passes went behind/ over/ into touch. Cohesion - The defensive structure held together really well for 70 minutes What was worse/the same? We were mauling them to bits on their 5m line while they were playing 7s scoring opportunities going amiss Decision making. Ye...

Re: Tigers v Bristol (H) - Premiership - Saturday 27th April 2024 - KO: 15-00

Disagree, how many teams in the prem would kick the ball away from there? Regardless of the scoreline I think there's a fair few that would, time wasting for two minutes is very difficult nowadays because the refs will give a sealing off penalty at the first opportunity Bristol weren’t even kicking...

Re: Tigers v Bristol (H) - Premiership - Saturday 27th April 2024 - KO: 15-00

I know Whitely is not a popular player here but that was not his fault, its gameplan to kick in that position and the kick was good, Steward got the ball back and it was the bounce of the ball that put Bristol in that position Disagree, how many teams in the prem would kick the ball away from there...

Re: Doom and Gloom

Agree about the turmoil but it is hardly the clubs fault if England take all of their coaches. Regarding churn quite a few sides have made wholesale changes which often happens when a new head coach is appointed even Exeter and Saracens have made many changes and they have a settled coaching staff....

Edwards signed by Bristol. Apols if already posted on another thread. Given his early release he'll probably score the winning try against us on Saturday

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

I have often posted that Tigers lack genuine pace and a ball carrying threat. I thought we solved that issue signing OHC and Watson not to mention Wiese. Strikes me that OHC as has been widely muted is a different player from when he was at Irish, Watson is still long term injured and Wiese is off....

Apologies in advance if what I am about to say upsets anyone. I have heard management and coaches say things like "keeping the Tigers DNA" in how we play....strong scrum, powerful forwards, driving mauls. In fact I think AP even said DMK was hired partly because he would keep this "Ti...

Yes, excellent points, and your opinion. Mine is different, I don’t have confidence at this point, happy to be proved wrong. my opinion is that finishing in the second tier of Europe, with this squad would be dire, especially compared to the fantastic job Wiggy did, retiring, taking his first head ...

Munster and Ireland sniffing around Dan Kelly???? Hope not
And with talk of release fees it doesn't sound like mere idle speculation by either the journalists or the IRFU

Re: Champions' Cup Quarter finals 2024

It is interesting how funding in different countries works for their teams. I have just read a quote from SA Rugby in response to seeming criticism from Jake White about the logistical contortions needed to get his team here for this weekend. SA Rugby say they have spent £175k on flights for the Bul...
