Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) 21st May 2022 KO 15:00

I would like to see a history of our results up there. My not inconsiderable gut tells me that other than the 2 dreadful seasons we have always done pretty well up racking up some decent scores. My memory does play tricks though. Even in one of the dreadful seasons we won. My wife and I went up and...

Re: Decisions Decisions

Hopefully we will see a bigger crowd for the Prem SF. I can only speak for myself, and for me the Prem is more important than Europe by a country mile. So, if I had to make a choice, and for some it will be a choice, I would always prioritise the Prem SF over the HC QF. Maybe that is what others hav...

Re: Bristol (Home) - 30th April 2022 KO 15:00

Nadalo has been great for us but I cannot see him being in the squad next week as his defence( like last week too) is not strong enough for top games! I know I'm out on a limb here, but I have not bought into the "man's a genius" pitch. He made line breaks and scored earlier in the season...

Re: Bristol (Home) - 30th April 2022 KO 15:00

Fantastic result today and almost equally as important nobody looked to be injured so hopefully it can be a fully fit best XV next week. I felt a little deflated by their 2 late tries but, on reflection, I imagine we were playing safe in the the last 10 mins...don't commit too heavily and pick up i...

Re: Weekend Games - 29th April to 1st May 2022

Care adds to his card total. Still won't get the ban he deserves though..... Oh rugger! When the clock turned over 79 mins and Quins got a penalty I said to my wife we may as well turn over now. How many times have I done that. I had better make sure I choose my lucky underpants for the trip to WR ...

Re: QF tickets

Don’t forget not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to a) afford a season ticket or b) afford a one-off ticket. In the grand scheme of things, food, energy bills etc are taking up a lot of people’s budget at the moment. Sorry for putting a dampener on it, but there you go. This I think. Not in...

Assuming his former Tigers' form returns, I would prefer Holmes to Watson, as we actually would see him more and he would be on a lower wage...
Me too and, whilst not without his own injury issues, I feel he is a lower injury risk than Watson

Re: 21/22 Injury/Suspension Thread

Tigers website says 2 May if he completes the course so they also count weeks not games. You would expect them to get it right so must be weeks not games that count.....at least for Tigers players!!!

Bristol / Sale was a good match to watch for the neutral.
Saying you are neutral about Sale and Bristol is an oxymoron. I find it impossible to be neutral about either of them, even when playing each other.

Re: Tigers v Leinster

Good odds, although I won’t be placing a bet as my annual flutter is on the National. Leinster v Connacht kicks off this evening at 5:30, so I’ll be keeping a close eye on the score! Me too. Annual flutter and upped my stake from £2 to £5 for first time in 25 years. Also chose Noble Yeats with as m...

Re: Tigers v Leinster

There’s an outside chance that Tigers may be playing Connacht in the QF! I don’t know what the odds are in a Connacht win, but I put a fiver on Noble Yeats to win the National and he won at 50/1!! ALLEZ Connacht!!! Currently they are 11:1 to win or you can get +22 even money. Good odds, although I ...

Re: Guy Porter red card

For me Kelly looked like he was going for an interception or to out himself between the passer and the likely receiver rather than to make a tackle, thus forcing the ball carrier to throw a longer or deeper pass or even turn inwards. He (Kelly) was facing in at the 10 not the player he collided wit...

Re: Clermont (Away) - Sunday 10th April 2022

Not read the whole thread but has anyone mentioned the atmosphere, it was incredible, the Clermont fans are wonderful, as are the town folk, their band really kept them going but, I don't know "Pith Heads" name, or heard it before but I think we have a new anthem, its John Denver's "...

Re: Guy Porter red card

It seems to me this one is laden with ifs, buts and maybes. Si my if is this....If Porter was going for the intercept and had caught it, and if he then collided with Fritz, would Porter as the ball carrier, or Fritz as the then "defender" have received the red card.
