Re: New Kit

The issue is not a deal with Kukri or not, but the deal with Kitbag, in whose hands matters of Tigers kit lies and who therefore have control over which manufacturer will supply kit and over what period, the Club having some but not overriding input. The Club is looking forward to getting back cont...

Re: New Kit

It may be down to priorities of supplier and production runs linking to the football season start dates etc. I have no experience of production operations so may be talking nonsense but I am minded of a conversation I had last year sitting next to a senior person from one of the big kit suppliers at...

Re: Premiership table 2019/20

I think the World Cup and 6N will see some unexpected teams nearer the top for a while, but then see them reeled in during the later stages of the season; so it may be a bit like last season with some places changing alot in the space of a week or two. I think Tigers would have been affected more bu...

Re: Super Rugby Final

Looks good doesn't he? I hope he and Spencer wear different scrum caps when they play together otherwise my failing eyesight mightn't tell them apart if I can't see their jersey number! Both 6'7" but Lavanini is almost 3 stone heavier so I am just going to go on bulk if they are standing next to ea...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

I may be in a minority but I think that if the coaching team is as it is today it will be a solid team next season. Last season I felt they were getting the tactics right but just didn't have the right sort of players to implement to the full. Time and again we were knocked back when trying to attac...

Re: Challenge Cup 19/20

Biffer used to be quite a critical voice, now he seems positively optimistic. I'd like to know who the new coach is, assuming Ford is staying for me to be vaguely optimistic about Europe. Just to keep you calm, I didn't say we'd win it. Somebody else screwed up quote function. Either that or someon...

And obviously, winning it gets you into the Heineken the year after.

But Tigers won't need that. We'll qualify automatically via the league. Maybe even as champions :smt002 :smt003
Now we know where Ellis9 went to ? :smt003

Looking at the weather the cricket season is over so let's start the season early!
Hahaha. .tempting. Although I think I need a bit of distance from last season to be able to draw a line under it properly. I wake up every morning hoping it was just a bad dream.

Re: New coaching structure?

This coaching structure would be a serious statement of intent by the club. Backs Coach left intentionally blank because we dont' appear to have that role in our current structure, aside from wrapping it up as part of Geordan's position. DoR: Mike Ford Head Coach: Geordan Murphy Forwards Coach: Ste...

Re: Sir Barnes

I don't put refs/Sirs down. They have a difficult job - we don't know what directives they have to work under and how that's interporated. Like most things in life standards have been watered down. Barnes is the best of a bad bunch. Owens was the best of a bad bunch. But we don't have a game withou...
