Re: Manu Tuilagi

So we still don't know then..... Baxter: "we have another name who we will be announcing in a week or two's time whose name will have everyone licking their lips." - Manu? From what I've heard its a young Argentine who may or may not have had an older brother light up the prem in the past Oh "Exoce...

Re: Exeter Chiefs

I strongly feel that Tigers should ban ALL drums, trumpets, tomahawks and feathered headdress 's from Welford Road stadium. I recall talking to one of the Chief Stewards at the last Exeter home game about the persistent drummer and he advised that the drum should not have been allowed in the stadium....

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

I was rather impressed with Clayton "Bojangles" now with Cheetahs, when he was here at the end of last season ~ would he be a good similar replacement for Telusa?

Re: Manu Tuilagi

No one, absolutely no one is bigger than the Tigers Club! Just look at the care Tigers gave him through thick and thin, injuries, suspensions, England injuries and the ridiculously low number of games for Tigers. Is £40,000 ? per game good value? Time to move on and see if we can retain others with ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

What was Manu rumoured to be on, £550k? :smt017 Pretty sure we would be able to pick up Kerevi, Kruindrani, Kriel or Am for £400k. Plenty of very good options at 13 out there which I’m sure McGinty is already on the case. I'm sure you are right about that. But not his name. It's McGin i ty. He does...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

I suspect the contracts are very carefully worded to make it hard to be broken by either party. If Gareth Bale’s contract in Spain was anything to go by then it might be tricky without mutual consent for Tigers to terminate. I expect Simon Cohen is so pleased that he is not involved in these Tigers...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

Even Wasps seem to be in a better position than us! Wow! Scotty I totally agree as they are £35.7m in debt, owe Derek Richardson £18.3m, have lost top players Elliot Daly, Willie Le Roux, & Nathan Hughes amongst others reducing their salary bill from £7.628m to £6.969m and still losing £5m in the s...

Re: LTTV next week - Club Doctor - Any questions?

So is there a LTTV production tonight? Has Geordan reclaimed his. quiet lounge? Has Bondi finished the book gaining dust on the arm of his settee? I was looking forward to Geordan's & McGinity's comments on the new players just announced and Julian's future arrival. Plus any further signings or unfo...

Re: Provisional Premiership Return Date ?

It makes absolute sense to have fans in reduced numbers. Once they are in their seats it's an incredibly low risk situation, it's just getting them there that will be more challenging. Perhaps staggered, pre-booked, arrival times for ticket holders to avoid congestion. Not too complicated to do a s...

Re: LTTV next week - Club Doctor - Any questions?

We all long to get back to sitting in the stands or congregating on the terrace and this time will come hopefully this year. However Covid-19 is the hidden killer and will be around for some years to come in whatever guise. If I am in my regular seat in the stand and another ticket holder later in t...

BBC are reporting Maro Itoje is considering a loan move to Leicester Tigers & Racing92. Now that is what I call a second row replacement for Spencer, but not sure if it is really on! but perhaps this is the reason for the news delay ( cannot say news blackout these days) https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/...

Re: Players asked to take pay cuts!

I am very much in favour of professional sportspeople being professionally compensated but you can't get a quart out of a pint pot, at least not on a sustainable basis. You are so right " You cannot get a quart pot of finest Hand pulled Tiger Copper Ale in the ABC this season" as they introduced th...
