Re: 20th Feb 2021 - Home vs Wasps

Leicester for the win. I'm backing Brookes to give his best ever performance for the Tigers. Well you were not disappointed there BFG! Brookes is certainly not the sharpest tool in the box as we and many other clubs found out.. His made to measure shirt gives the opposing prop plenty of handholds. ...

Re: Away vs Quins Sat 13th Feb

The thing that annoys me is that everyone is left to guess, speculate and make assumptions about why players may be missing. I get that there may occasional tactical reasons and data protection issues why a player’s fitness/health isn’t discussed. If someone has tested positive then fair enough, do...

Re: Tigers vs Worcester - Sat 06 Feb 1500

Have I missed something - Sam Lewis on the Worcs sub???? Different Sam Lewis. I certainly hope so as "Sam Lewis"was highlighted red on the Tigers webpage team announcement ,hence my concern too..We must win this game but sorry Reffell is not ther. The backs need the ball to run ~ hoping we can link...

Re: Sale game moved

For Sale also the cancellation of the European matches means that Daniel Du Preez who had a 3 playing match ban imposed on him will not be eligible for the Tigers game , having sat out the Worcester game the two European matches v Edinburgh and v Toulon were cancelled so Daniel has two more playing ...

Re: Freddie Burns coming back to Tigers?

Where would that leave Zac Henry who has looked good. Not discounting fluffing his try scoring opportunity.? Didn't Freddie Burns fluff a try when the ball was knocked from his hand behind the posts, procrastinating not putting the ball down. Freddie was a great Tiger here and was very annoyed to b...

Re: Ealing beat Saracens

PRC under 23 with a maximum of 3 seniors in the 23 sounds good to me. Gives Injured players a route back to get match fitness. I have to agree with Scott1 the PRC should be separate from the first team squads and used for academy, development of the young players and the strict rule of a max of 3 s...

Re: Saints v Tigers - 09th January 2021 - cancelled due to COVID

Just being "devils advocate", but by Saints deciding to announce they could play as they have 23 available, is this a calculated announcement to try to avoid a 2-4 points against them and hope that the ruling does not go against them and the ruling committee give them say 3-3 points? What is the po...

Re: French rugby 2020/2021

I note that Telusa Veianu is scoring a few for Stade. We miss his magic but hey ho! We don't miss some of his "After you Claude" tackling though.. Like Manu it's the manner of his departure rather the actual leaving that is the sore point. I certainly did not realise that "Claude Balls" or "Boules"...

October 2018 was at Twickenham, so really the last time we won at Franklin Gardens was March 2017, Mauger's last game in charge.
You're right JP, forgot that good shout :smt023
No worries!
There were worries for David Denton as his injury was his last ever game! Alas.....

Looking at the online Tigers v Bath programmme on page 48 I notice that Jan McGinity is still listed as our Head of Elite Performance Recruitment, where as I'am delighted if he is still at Tigers but I read that he had unfortunately left the club.. could some one please advise? :smt017

Re: Non playing staff interfering with play

I would ban the subs from the in goal area, esepcially when they flood into that area to celebrate a try being scored. Apparently they already are...it’s just never enforced, mainly due to lack of space for subs to do whatever it is subs do in the in goal area Where for instance at Welford Road wou...

This must be a first! Where a player posting has no requests "he would be ideal at Tigers!" Wow it must be the season of goodwill to Tigers and good ridence to Cipriani who I place in the same bucket as Henson. :smt002
