Re: Saracens v Clermont

On the subject of SArries & their winning of the Euro final two years in a row with the demolition of Saturdays French opposition, with or without Nigel Celebrity Ref Owens - some context - We at Tigers are like NASA - talking about going back to land on the moon after a long delay in visiting t...

Re: MOC in The Mercury

Very pleased to hear he thinks he can bring improvement - he will need to deliver on that promise. In fact on RL at the last home game, he was speaking of 30/40% improvements or growth he could see. Great - but at current performanmce levels, I think most will agree, we are miles off the Top Euro te...

Re: MOC in The Mercury

What a dogmatic & silly response. The Happy Clappy cabal on the unoffy simply could not accept Tigers have been poor for 2 years - you can't say anything adverse on there without a threat of a ban. The thrust of my post was simply to say that a more far reaching overhaul of the squad may be requ...

MOC in The Mercury

Head coach Matt O'Connor is not expecting to make huge changes to the Leicester Tigers squad he has inherited. It is, he says, more a case of making sure that he and his coaching staff get the best out of the bulk of the players already at Welford Road. There will be a handful of additions, a big ph...

Re: Munster-Saracens

The Sarries ''Electric Chair'' was in full working order, strap Munster in, one arm at a time, then legs, then blindfold & push the charge button.

Munster taken out in a very precise orderly way...not a thing of beauty but it gets the job done.

Re: Handling errors

Agree about the Lineout, the catch & drive both attacking & defending have been very very poor this season. We are always likely to let in a try in a defensive catch & drive scenario and on Saturday we fouled up at least 3 times on our attacking catch and drive. Blaze has a lot of questi...

Re: Will Saracens win a trophy this season?

I don't gamble, but If I did, I would put money on a SArries League & Euro double this season. Just like last - they are the benchmark of quality, organisation Coaching, preparation & having a tactical plan that works. Will take a big performance from a very good side to stop the 'Electric C...

Nothing less than 5 points from this game.

Hopefully Tigers can achieve that goal.

Re: 3 games to go

Can't think any of the current crop of Coaches & players want to be associated with NOT getting to the pay-off's at least, after so many years of successive qualification. After a miserable season in many ways, one would think this group should have all the motivation and desire needed to pull 4...

Wonderful player - always - for Tigers.

So sorry he has retired.

He will be missed by all.

Pleasure to have seen his career unfold at Leicester Tigers.
