I know he was a 12, but Daryl Gibson....what...a....player. Defensive leader, superb communicator and the glue that held our amazing backline together. Oh for another Gibson.....
Allen was similar, I’m hoping Scott will develop along similar lines - he’s looked good so far

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

Smith was pretty rapid to be fair, Rabeni was quick too Matt Smith was the fastest over 30m at one time, faster than Varndell, pointed out by Cockers once. I didn’t know that - interesting as Smith always looked fast in his younger days but I didn’t realise how fast! Favourite Ollie Smith memory (p...

Re: Team vs Saints

It’s the potential that excites me but also frustrates me because I am impatient to see what we can do ball in hand! I get and appreciate that we are playing basic rugby building from the foundations up but when you see Steward, Henry, Nadolo, Murimurivalu, Porter, Potter, Ford, Youngs, JO, Scott et...

Re: Tigers vs Sale - 05 Sep 20

As poor a 60mins as you could wish to see but... The character and fitness of the squad is there to see every game so far and we were within touching distance of an incredible comeback (again) I thought Steward was our best threat in attack and despite errors looks like he could be the real deal The...

We really do need to have something else other than kicking the ball
Nadolo must wonder why he’s been picked today, Not really playing to his strengths asking him to chase long kicks every 5mins

Good for his conditioning I suppose

Fair to say kicking the ball back to Sale at every opportunity isn’t really working....

Re: Gloucester vs. Tigers - Sun 30 Aug 20 (1630)

Lavanini lost the ball in contact, which led to a Gloucester try but I’m not sure if it was a rip or a knock-on, conveniently there was never a replay to show it. But he really stepped up yesterday and played well for most if not all of the game, was very good in close quarters defence and also his...

Was it me or did Lavanini step up 3x as much once Gigena came on?
I thought from when Ford came on to be fair

Re: Gloucester vs. Tigers - Sun 30 Aug 20 (1630)

Lots of positives, lessons hopefully learned. Great comeback! Agreed, although maybe Borthwick has learnt about the likes of Hardwick (constantly backing off in defence) in the first half by fielding the team he did. Not saying it’s nice to expose young players in that fashion but I’m sure he’ll arg...

Could have been much worse as we saved a 50 pointer
Or to put it another way, we played really well 2nd half

Its great to see our young players progressing but also for me Tom Youngs looks a man reborn.
Absolutely agree, back to the form of his heyday IMO

Re: London irish

There's no right answers with selection at the moment. I think as a principle you don't want anyone involved in all 4 of this 'block' (Exeter to Glocs); you don't want anyone starting two games in a row or starting one and benching the other, as an injury means that suddenly they're playing 80 minu...
