Re: Catering & Bar Feedback Seasons 2017,2018 & 2019/20

There was a fans forum this month where the new catering was discussed. I have not seen any comments regarding the move to a cashless stadium and the effect that this will have on the thousands of fans who do not have or use cashless credit cards. I know that a number of older fans round me on the t...

Re: Benetton Treviso this evening...

If the Italian Commentary team were having a bad time with the names, I, being a sad old *** can remember how Tudor Thomas used to really struggle with any non-uk names, to our great amusement!!

This Season's European Fixtures

I think it was about 2 weeks ago that Radio Leicester were saying that the fixtures for the European Cup were about to be announced.

Since then there has been a stunning silence.

Does anybody know when the draws will be made so we can arrange travel to Paris, Limerick, and Glasgow ??

Re: New law amendments in the Northern Hemisphere announced.

This smacks of the southern hemisphere objecting to a skill that they are not capable of, or unwilling to use. If a player passes the ball back in a maul and stays at the front, surely he is obstructing the opposition getting to the ball/player? Surely the IRB law makers should have looked more clos...

Re: Pro 12

Brianf - Whilst I agree that Bologna is a beautiful city, we found the influx of Romanian beggars and thieves to be a real pain. Had my pockets picked on a Sunday morning walk in the city last time we played at Monza. Stopped in Parma the year we played Viadana in a village 10 miles from Parma. Coac...

EPC Draw for match Dates

Has there been an announcement of when the draw will take place for the round matches? As usual, the travelling fans have been ignored - we need to book tavel arrangements for the Italy game! JG will, I assume, be arranging trips to both Limerick and Paris, providing a fantastic service to the suppo...

Mele going to Toulouse

The move of Mele to Toulouse for next season was announced by Tigers on Radio Leicester today (with a comment that Tigers had signed a southern hemisphere scrum half) What has happened here? Mele has been ignored for the second half of the season, (Harrison suddenly became the shining light after be...

2014 - 15 Attendances

I commented on the Saturday fixtures post regarding the attendances this year, based on how it felt at the ground, and the empty seats in the CAT stand and the clubhouse seating. I have just looked at the average attendance figures for League & European cup games compared to last season. In the leag...

Re: Weekend Late Kick offs

This season, so far, for season ticket games, we have had 4 sunday games, 2 Friday games, and 4 Saturday (around 2-3 oclock) games. The timing of games after February have not yet been decided as the TV companies have not decided their schedules yet. I stand on the terrace, and at least 5 of the gen...

Re: Has there been a good game in the Champions Cup this wee

Agree that the Toulouse - Bath game was good, but how on earth did Banahan stay on the pitch for that head tackle. Would it have changed the result if he had been sent off?
Surely he will be cited, given that the ref decided that there was no need to even review the challenge.

Re: Referees lacking consistency

Pity that Kaplan finished his article with a rant against England Scrummaging, a typical Aussie problem. There have always been inconsistancies in refereeing. The issue is that you hear managers like Cockers saying that 'we didn't play the referee well today'.the result is that teams prepare to brea...

Re: Paul Burke

I agree that the lack of information on whether PB walked or was pushed makes the arguments a piece of fiction. However, sadly, it would appear that Rugby is following football in all the worst traits it has to offer, and would indicate that the removal of playing officials during the season when a ...

Re: See I told you it's not all Cockers fault............

Whilst Hoppers makes valid points in his article, there is a real kicker at the end. What will happen in 2015 when the season starts in October. Will the LV cup be dropped, together with the Autumn internationals? Or will the need to generate revenue for both the English and Welsh clubs see teams pl...

Junior World Cup refereeing gets worse

I watched New Zealand play Scotland this morning, and could not believe the standard of refereeing could be so bad. New Zealand were by far the better team, but did not need the help of the referee and TV official. The fourth try was a knock on by the NZ winger, seen by the linesman, but the referee...
